Stayed Oct 11, 2025We return to the Jackson area every October and have rented a lot of places via different booking sites. Heather was hands down the most helpful, responsive, and kind host we've experienced. From the booking process (figuring out how the room/bed configuration would work for our group of adults, teenagers, and 2 dogs), to the home/area information, and post-stay. Heather reached out to let us know we left a few items behind and was super helpful in coordinating a way to retrieve them. The home is cozy but larger than the photos look and with room to spread out, and exceptionally clean. Everything we needed kitchen-wise was available, all linens and paper goods well-stocked. The best part is the backyard and the brook behind. Our dogs and we loved exploring and enjoying the peaceful setting. The house is close to everything - hiking trails, x-country trails, restaurants, pubs, etc. This was one of our best Jackson stays as a family and we will definitely be back. Thank you, Heather!

Stayed Jul 19, 2025My young daughter and I are in the area, supporting my son as he continues to hike the AT. Jackson, NH is the bomb. You want to stay in Jackson. Seriously. It's less peopley than North Conway, yet it's super easy to get to everything you want to do. Heather is a thoughtful property host. This house is stocked with everything you could possibly need - and her listing is very accurate. We loved hearing the brook out back. We are Floridians - so we especially loved being able to open the windows for a Cool to Us breeze, and picking raspberries in the garden. *Don't skip Jackson Falls around sunset! Just find a way to park your car and enjoy this natural wonder that's right in the neighborhood. We spotted deer and even a shiny black bear in the neighborhood. This property was perfect for us. *It's an easy and pretty drive to Crawford Notch for hiking and ice cream. Go do the Arethusa Falls and get ice cream at the Willey Center. Easy drive! The grocery store is super convenient. The Mexican restaurant - El Reparo - is kinda loud on Friday evening, but the food was delicious. So we were glad we waited. Definitely drive 15 minutes up 16 and check out Glen Ellis Falls. Super easy walk to see this beautiful thing. The Pinkham Notch Visitor Center is also cool. You'll see through hikers and get to shop/eat/hike.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024We stayed here to attend a wedding at the Inn at Whitney's Farm. This was an ideal location, easily walkable to the ceremony and reception (even in dress shoes!). There was plenty of room for our whole family. 1+ bedrooms on the main level, and 2 bedrooms + a bunk room downstairs. We enjoyed the outside yard for games and the beautiful stream. It's very close to Jackson Falls and other great hikes/outdoor activities. The host's communication was outstanding, we hope to get back to visit again.

Stayed Aug 22, 2024My family was attending a wedding. We rented this house, so we could walk to the venue and all related wedding activities happening at Whitney's Inn throughout the weekend. The house was clean and well-equipped with three bedrooms which comfortably met our family's needs.

Stayed Jul 13, 2024The stay here was good. The house is extremely clean and there is literally every single amenity you could need or want!! I’ve never stayed at a rental that provided guests with literally everything. There’s enough blankets and sheets and towels for an army! There were 5 adults, a dog, and a cat and we had plenty of room to be together and to have some quiet alone time. The outside is nice and theres a nice peaceful sound coming from the stream. Parking is convenient too. My only complaint is that it was pretty uncomfortable temperature wise. However, it was extremely hot and humid while we were there (90-100 degrees). There is an AC unit in the room on the first floor however we had to keep those doors closed due to the cat so the living room/kitchen area received no air from that. The downstairs was super cool during the day but when shutting the bedroom doors at night it became very damp and humid in those rooms. I believe we had extreme weather that is probably not that normal for NH so I don’t think the house is set up for that. I’d say as long as the temps don’t go over the low 80s it should be pretty comfortable. Mid 80s and above make plans for the day and don’t come back until early evening.

Stayed Jun 15, 2024It was a pleasure staying in Heather’s Jackson home. Everything was very clean and the instructions provided were clear. We hit a few unseasonably hot days and the downstairs rooms remained cool no matter what. The location was a good base for our exploration of the White Mountains.

Stayed Jun 2, 2024We enjoyed our stay, a nice get-away coming up from Philly. The house layout was great and well accommodated all of us (4 adults and 2 dogs) -- plenty room for larger groups too. House was well stocked as far as beddings, bath/towels, kitchen, etc. Owners arrival instructions were clear and helpful and enabled us to acclimate quickly and comfortably. Open layout kitchen/dining/living area was great social place for cooking, eating, reading, conversation, and games. The piano was a nice surprise too, added a nice element to our stay (several players in our party, well worn upright but fun to play all the same). Really enjoyed the backyard and brook, also took walks from the house on the roads, a nice 2-3 mile loop depending on which turns we took. We enjoyed the country store in Jackson, shopping and dining in North Conway, and multiple trips to the top of Mt Washington. We're grateful to have had such a wonderful experience!
