Owner was traveling, and forewarned that a friend had observed that previous guest(s) had left dirty dishes & unwashed towels & bedclothes, and this was reflected in a discounted rate when I decided to retain the reservation. A couple of laundry loads later, the guest quarters were cozy & clean, and we had a great stay. A quiet area, convenient to stores, restaurants, and the airport, as well as major travel routes. I’d definitely stay here again on a return trip.

We got there late after midnight. The house smelled bad, not very clean, the bed sucked -- low spot in the center. My wife didnt sleep at all. We left and spent the next night in a hotel. I WANT MY MONEY BACK

The hostess left us plenty of good food. But the bathroom hot water faucet quit working shortly after we arrived. The bathroom floor stayed wet the whole time we were there. We had to keep towels in the floor all the time. The right front stove burner would not turn on. The coffee pot was too small and had to be thoroughly cleaned before we would use it. When we reported the faucet problem, the hostess told my husband she would call a plumber when we left—which was two days later. With four adults she suggested that she had a queen sized mattress she could put down for us for which we paid an extra $20. Then she called and said it was too big for the room and we agreed that one of us would sleep on the small sofa and use a twin sized mattress on the floor for the fourth bed. In spite of this we loved being in Fairbanks to see the visitors center’s meuseum, the pipeline, North Pole, and lots of other beautiful sites!
