Inviting waterfront home with game room, mountain view & kayaks

Beautiful setting and a nice house right on the water. It’s probably time for a deep cleaning and a general refresh. But overall a very nice getaway.

This property is as advertised, and we'll definitely be back as often as possible. We stayed over Thanksgiving, and it was the perfect quiet getaway. Could not have imagined a better place for what we were looking for.

We visited in November. The view is stunning!! It was so quiet and beautiful. A perfect retreat. The kitchen was updated and has all the pots and pans you need. The beds were comfy with lots of pillows and warm comforters. Stop and get firewood on the way for the fireplace, it made the living room super cozy. WiFi works great, tvs are set up for streaming. The road can get very dark so make sure you read all of the directions so you don’t miss the turn. We saw otters from the deck, so keep an eye out. A few things that could be improved—*The house was cold when we got there. Having the heat on would have been nice.*Living room furniture could use an upgrade. It’s not very comfortable.*As others have said, the blinds need to be fixed. We wrestled with them every day. *The main bedroom toilet runs*The house is huge and can fit way more than 6 people comfortably (it has 7 beds). The driveway can fit more than 2 cars. It caused us some complications as people were driving in from different places and we needed to park more than two cars, and there’s nowhere nearby to park. All that said, we look forward to returning. The view and the forest are incredible.

Overall the property was just as described. Unfortunately we went during the time where there was a wildfire in the area but the property management was very timely in notifying us ahead of time and that we were not in an evacuation zone. Plenty of room for two couples and a beautiful well stocked kitchen. There is no central AC so was a bit difficult given the air quality and hot days but when we were able to open the windows the house cooled down nicely. Overall beautiful picturesque stay and a place to lay our head at night after a day of exploring.

The property was clean and just as shown in the pictures. The reason we gave only three stars is because the fires in the area had been burning for weeks, and we were not notified in advance that both the air quality (unhealthy) and the view would be totally obscured by the smoke. We were unable to spend any time outside or on the lake because of the smoke. In fact, we left a day early because of that. We should have been notified before our visit and given the option to reschedule once the fires were out.

Absolutely beautifully situated on Lake Cushman. The home has great lake access, decks and some ammenities for enjoying the lake. The cons:Our stay was in August. I understand there is no need to have AC, but could you make a few fans available? Tried to sleep with windows open and the breeze was banging the blinds all night and finally had to shut the windows. Downstairs is cooler. Not the best stocked kitchen if you plan on doing a lot of cooking there. For example, there was no salt except for coarse margarita salt.

This was a FANTASIC place to stay during our trip from the East Coast. The view is even better than shown in the photos and is simply amazing. The linens were very nice and comfortable, and the house was very clean. The interior of the house is exactly as shown in the photos. The wood columns and floors inside the house are really lovely. I saw one reviewer say that the house was not homey--I disagree. I thought the warm tones of the interior were very homey and inviting. As stated above, it is exactly as shown in the photos. I also saw in the last review that the BBQ grill was not in good shape--not sure if it was replaced but the grill that we used there was perfectly good. There is an outdoor table to use which worked well for outdoor dining and we rarely ate indoors in the evenings. There is a walkway down to the lake where there were 2 kayaks, a paddle board, lifejackets, rowboat size boat etc. There are stone steps down into the lake from the lakefront deck so you don't have to use the ladder on the pier if you don't want to. There is one of those super large umbrellas on the deck at the lakefront which was very easy to operate and which was used every day that was sunny. The water is clear so you can see the bottom of the lake, at least in the water from the shore to the pier. It was also clean water so we didn't feel dirty when leaving the water or that a film had appeared on our skin (this happens where we live unfortunately). The grocery store is in Hoodsport which is a good drive away from the house. I suggest that you stop at the grocery store on your way in on day 1 and gather all your kitchen staples. We arrived late on day 1 and could not do this but it would have been great if we had been able to do so. To the Owners: if you ever want to sell the house, please let me know. We loved it there--thank you for opening your home up to us. We will be back next summer.

The view is absolutely incredible and that is why we wanted to stay at this cabin did not dispoint whatsoever. We spent most of our time sitting by the water. That being said the house honestly was so so. It was very cold there was no homie touches. The kitchen was not equipped with all the necessities. You definitely need to buy all your groceries there was nothing there no plastic wrap tin foil nothing. Most places we have always stayed at has had some kind of coffee they did have a coffee machine and espresso maker but there was no coffee. The closest store to the cabin is about a 20 minute drive so make sure you have everything you need by the time you get to the cabin. We arrived late and we did not want to go back out. The app was very helpful and easy to use and the owners did respond very quickly with questions we had. We were very excited to use the kayaks but we couldn't because there was only one paddle but they did have a paddle boat that was nice to use.

While we were completely in love with the view which is why we booked we were not disappointed. We felt the house definitely lacked a comfortable feel it was not homey whatsoever It was very cold and stark. The amenities were lacking we had to make extra trips to the store which was not conveniently located for necessities that should have been already at the cabin. The grill definitely needs to be replaced that is a fire hazard for sure. All in all dealing with Vacasa was a wonderful experience made everything very easy with the booking app was easy to work and did communicate anytime I had questions. It is hard to get to the cabin You do need to really pay attention it's easy to miss. With all that said the view makes up for any negative aspect of the house absolutely beautiful!

This property has amazing views and is beautiful inside. I love the covered porch as well and that’s what sold me on this house incase it rained. It has direct access to the lake and seating which was amazing. The outside does need some major clean up. When you first drive up to the house it’s kind of shocking on how much up keep hasn’t been done. Weeds need to be pulled, the roof is really bad with moss and pine needles. I did report that the blind in the downstairs bedroom with the view won’t open either.

What a wonderful house and lake! The house had a fully stocked kitchen, extremely comfortable beds, and lots of toys/games/books for the kids. The lake itself was stunning and the supplied watercraft (kayaks, paddle boat, row boat) were so fun to use. Would highly recommend staying here.

View and location were amazing. Overall, the property was disappointing. Dirty pans in the cabinets, dirty silverware in the drawers, blinds that didn’t work, furniture that was unstable, waterfront items (life jackets etc) was in complete disarray. We stayed at three properties on a weeklong tour around the National Park. This should have been the best one based on the amazing lake view. It ranked as a distant 3rd. Sadly, this place needs a serious upgrade in attention to detail.

Peaceful, relaxing, amazing views and a house with all the amenities we needed! Loved sitting by the water listening to the waves. Exactly what we were looking for!

This is an amazing house and property right on the lake. We stayed in the winter so while it was cold and rainy out, we were warm and cozy inside. The house has plenty of amenities to keep everyone happy.

Really great spot - gorgeous view of the lake, fun amenities like foosball, kayaks, and a fire pit, and well maintained/clean. Had no issues whatsoever, we highly recommend this place!

The views from this spacious home were stellar!

A wonderful lake house with easy access to lake. The layout is nice with the master on the main leval and the other bedrooms downstairs with a play area for the kids. We enjoyed hanging out down on the lake patio. Will definitely be back!
