Inviting riverfront home with hot tub on deck & fireplace, near skiing & golf

We stayed for 3 nights during our kids’ April vacation to be near to the Pump House at Jay Peak Resort - we had a blast. There were 6 of us, and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, grill tools, and even had a drawer full of kids dishes. The stove and oven worked great - the coffee machine was heavenly. The grill was fantastic, and the fridge had lots of space. We recommend you bring your own spices and oils, but if you forget anything, there’s a general store just a few-minutes walk away. The beds were comfy as were the sitting areas. We loved the option to either dine on the picnic table in the porch area or in the dining room. Sadly, it was a bit too chilly still for our kids to be hanging outside much. So, we didn’t get to use the deck area a whole lot, but look forward to doing that during another stay. Yes, we’d definitely go back. And let us not forget the most gorgeous thing about this stay - Trout River. It is truly beautiful, and the house is just steps from it. The deck is the perfect spot to enjoy it - just listening to it made all of us instantly chiller. Very much recommend this place. Final note about bathrooms: it’s great that they have a 1/4 bath downstairs, but just be aware that it is very small to the point where taller or larger bodied folks may not be able to use it. The upstairs bathroom was usable and comfortable for all members of our group.

The house was very cozy and perfect for our group who was there for a ski trip to Jay Peak!

Third time we booked this place. Loved it even more than the first time. Great place to relax with great kitchen to cook for your group.

My husband and I were initially going to be in this space with two teenagers, another adult, and a toddler, and due to a series of unforeseen scheduling, my husband and I had the place to ourselves for the weekend. The bed was comfortable, the living area spacious and clean, and the backyard and patio right next to the Trout River was amazing. Absolutely would (and hope to) stay here again!

We have stayed at a different ski house every weekend since the beginning of january and this was by far our favorite. The home is clearly a home that is loved by its owners, it is well cared for and well appointed. The location is perfect (10 minutes from jay and walking distance to dining and shopping). The river is right out the back door, with a little lawn and great outside living space. The home was comfortable for us, but we could have invited another family to stay with us! There are 4 queen beds (2 each in two rooms) and a king in a third room. There is a lovely sitting area upstairs with comfortable seating, a perfect reading nook! The downstairs is comfortable and has a great layout with lots of room to relax and a huge dining table (we sat 8 one night with extra chairs). There is also a 3 season porch, with a picnic table (we would have eaten there if had been a little warmer). We enjoyed breakfast while watching the wildlife in the river. This place was perfect... It has an easy to use ev charger as well! We would absolutely consider staying here again. I also left my kindle behind by mistake and their team found it and is in the process of sending it to me. The customer service was excellent!

Awesome little house, we loved our weekend up at Jay. Parking is tight with the snow, really only space for two cars but easy enough to park extra cars in town. Would recommend for families looking for mountain accommodations!

We enjoyed this house in such a cute and quaint little town with our family for the start of fall! The stars at night, the trickle of the river, the campfires, the awesome local dining options. It all made for a picture perfect time for my wife, son and I. Beds were comfy, house was clean, loved the peace and quiet! We'll be back!

Excellent property for a family getaway. It is right by the river which makes it unique. Big enough to accommodate a bigger family or multi-family vacation. The cottage is within walking distance to the local grocery store and several eateries. Also perfectly distanced to other VT spots like Stowe or Burlington...which was about 1 hour driving to each.. Kids loved a day at the Pumphouse Waterpark which was 15 mins away. Overall, perfect location, amenities and environment to take in Vermont's beautiful landscapes and pace of life.

Never felt more detached from our busy lives than I did in the backyard. The sound of the Trout River by the campfire and while sleeping at night will make you disconnect from modern life. Conversely if you want to post those awesome house and river pics to Instagram and brag about the house on Facebook, there is solid wifi to do so. Just a short drive to Jay Peak, Stowe ski resort, and (just slightly farther) to Ben & Jerry’s factory tours. Don’t want to drive? Walking distance to the town’s phenomenal restaurants and markets. Truly this is the first vacation house I wish we didn’t have to leave.
