Inviting mountain view home with game room, balcony & W/D

Booked this place for my wife’s birthday with our cousins and this place was perfect. The location was great, check in was super easy, all the amenities were present and all the bedrooms and bathrooms were super clean!Super minor (and only) 2 downsides were that the fan in the main room was broken but we were told that the property manager was trying to fix it, and the vacuum wasn’t working which made cleaning the floors a little difficult.

This house was perfect in every way for our family gathering. The location is remote enough that you feel like you are getting away, but very close to shops, restaurants etc. The house is very well equipped as well- kitchen has everything you would ever need for cooking and entertaining. There were also many games and a Bluetooth speaker available. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are even already talking about booking it again next year.

We stayed at the Mountain View for a work field trip. We were celebrating the delivery of several pianos we rebuilt for the Yellow Barn I'm Putney. We spent most of our time outside, but when we came back, it was delightful. This is a beautiful property, very clean, and very cozy

Was a little hesitant as the front doesn’t have all that much curb appeal. But upon entering we were very impressed. The common areas were spacious and nicely furnished. The kitchen is well suited for cooking and entertaining. Basement/den/family room was a great getaway for the kids. And above all else the views were perfect. Well worth the reasonable price!

The location was perfect, no traffic and nice walking area. The house has such a wonderful lay out with 2 living/sitting rooms so all family members could enjoy their own space then enjoy nice family meals on the big dining table together.

The view, the peace and quiet, the furnishings, we had large group and had fun despite a few issues.

I chose this property as a quick weekend getaway for friends. Unfortunately, I had a death in the family and was not able to make it and we decided to cancel our reservation and reschedule for a time we could all make it. When trying to reach out “directly to the host”, via in-app-messaging, I was directed to what was obviously a call center or shared texting line with multiple agents that copy and pasted the same bland response denying my request of a partial refund. I then tried calling the number listed and was sent to a call center where they claimed they had no information for the property owner, or the “local team”. I was told a request was sent to the local team and I should hear within 24 hours. It has been 4 days when I am writing this and have heard nothing. I understand that policies and rules are put in place so that people do not abuse them, and at the end of the day this is a business. I did not request a full refund, just a partial refund due to the nature of the circumstances and was denied. Where is the compassion? Where is the empathy, let alone sympathy for a fellow human being? Suffice to say I, and my friends and family will never be using VRBO or VACASA ever again.

This home was a wonderful stay for my partner and I. There was ample room for the both of us, plus much more room we didn't even touch. The view is absolutely gorgeous and I can only imagine it during other seasons. The hot tub was extremely nice and relaxing and allowed you to take in the beautiful view while enjoying the hot tub. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped with items necessary to make most meals. The location is about 15 minutes outside of Wilmington and 30-45 minutes from Brattleboro, both of which are nice areas to walk around and visit shops. There are nearby restaurants, art shops, antique stores, and the like. We weren't able to find any place that delivered, but that was expected with the location. The house does not have air conditioning, but there are plenty of windows to open and let in air, however, the living room does get warm in the evening due to the west facing windows, but the finished basement stayed cool throughout our stay. The deck is nice, but needs some repairs, several areas of nails coming through the boards and broken rails. It would also be nice if there were some outdoor seating available. The beds are on the firmer side and slightly uncomfortable, but still usable. Overall a wonderful stay that we will definitely be repeating.
