Stayed Dec 26, 2025The house was in a very convenient location. It was very clean and extremely well decorated. The vibe was very warm and cozy. The layout and set up was perfect for our family of eight. The only two things I did not think were great was the sheets on the king bed (they were rough with pilled bumps all over them. I think new sheets are in order for that bed for sure. The bed and pillows themselves, were otherwise very comfortable. The other thing is that there are no shades on the wall of windows. A simple roller shade added wouldn’t take away from the view and would keep the sun from blinding the living room and kitchen from early morning to late afternoon.

Stayed Aug 31, 2024We loved the views from the couch, and how comfortable everything was. As stated over and over, there is one gravel road on the way to the house that is VERY rough. We were sure we would pop a tire in the rented SUV. It was a great trip with very good accommodations.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969When we walked in the Renovation House we were so pleased. It was very open. The kitchen and living room were updated and gorgeous. The view out the windows were amazing. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were also recently updated and very clean. The road leading up to the house was rough, but our minivan handled it without any problem. In the winter months, it may be more difficult to manage and may require a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Just far enough off the beaten path to help you enjoy some nice quiet and solitude, but not so far that it’s inconvenient. Our family loved this house, and the views from the deck were just perfect! **I would recommend an AWD or 4WD vehicle to get up the driveway.**

Stayed Oct 19, 2023House is fantastic. We love Waynesville and visit often. We normally pick a new home each time. Feels like that practice will end now that we have found this place. Perfect for us. Super clean, well appointed, close to everything. We loved it. If the owners ever want to sell, we would buy it. Seriously.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We celebrated our Anniversary at the Restoration House. So quiet and peaceful compared to city life. Gorgeous view from the deck! It is so relaxing just to sit and enjoy silence, clean refreshing air, morning sunrise, God’s beautiful creation… The things we did: - Blue Ridge Parkway - Waterrock Knob, all the overlooks between Waterrock and highway US-276. - Oconoluftee - Visitor’s Center with historical exhibits and fields of Elk roaming wild. - Cherokee - Visitor’s Center complete with a river and knowledgeable staff. Lake Junaluska - Paved walking trail that circumnavigates the lake. We loved everything inside the house being brand new, smart and cosy.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We really enjoyed our stay at the Restoration House. Beautiful touches in the home and very comfortable. The only thing that was an issue for us was the driveway. We made it in and out ok, but it's difficult for some vehicles.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We loved the view and all the natural light from the windows. That was about it though. There were not enough towels in the bathrooms. There was nowhere to empty the trash other than a space underneath the house behind a door and there was plenty of trash already packed there. The showers lacked any type of shelving to place soap, shampoo, etc. Also there were the neighbor's dogs that barked all through the night. The yard shared a gate with the adjoining yard that was too small that if it were closed, the dogs could still come into the yard and bark at the kids. The road coming in was very rough, i wouldnt have liked driving a car up it as my 4runner was a very rough ride traversing the terrain.
