Stayed Jun 1, 2026Excellent ease of check-in, VERY communicative host: quickly responsive to a few questions throughout the stay. Important to note that this location is not within easy walking distance to most tourist interest places, but Uber rides are reasonable, depending on the time of day.Beds super comfortable, blackout curtains in the bedroom very effective, AC set on low and much appreciated! Very clean and tidy.

Stayed Apr 26, 2026We loved this place! We were in town for 12 days during Jazzfest. We normally stay in the Garden District or CBD (Central Business District), and this was my first time staying Uptown. I walk a lot when I'm in town, but I also use public transport. This property is a 15 minute walk to the St. Charles streetcar, and you can easily walk down to Magazine St. and peruse the shops, restaurants, bars, catch the bus from down there. It's also pretty easy walking distance to CBD. The neighborhood is in transition, with some houses currently being renovated, and some unoccupied. I'd say it's definitely an up-and-coming neighborhood, but like many New Orleans neighborhoods, there are definitely some homes in disrepair. I will say though, that my girlfriend, my friend & I walked that neighborhood at ALL hours of the day & night, and it's quite safe. We never had anything more than a hello or the colloquial How y'all doin'? as we walked through there. So, don't be deceived by the appearance of the neighborhood. The house, I will say, is as nice as the pix suggest! It's got electronic locks on both front and rear doors, and security cameras. This hosts are VERY responsive, and we were able to get all of our questions answered in a timely manner (i.e. trash pick-up day, etc), but the house is well-appointed, logically laid-out, includes a nice washer/dryer, which was a lifesaver on a 12-day trip. And, the bathtub in the primary bathroom is AMAZING! My gal loved it!

Stayed Apr 18, 2024I spend a lot of time in New Orleans, and this has quickly become my new favorite short term rental option. Location could not be better, hosts were incredibly amenable and responsive, and the home itself could not be more comfortable and inviting.

Stayed Nov 18, 2023Newly redone, great deco, very clean and well-kept. Living room and kitchen have plenty of room to move around. The seating in LR is a large wide couch-4 friendly folks could all fit for a movie. The kitchen is fully functional and you could definitely cook and do meal prep here. Bedrooms have very little storage and would be a big challenge with 4 people. Main BR has a large, comfortable bed with an end table on either side, room to move around on either side. There is a small valet stand that can hold 3-4 hangers (although there were none during our visit, even though we asked for them after we arrived) but no other storage. The closets and cupboards are all locked and cannot be used, so the only place to put your clothes is the small bedside stand, the 3-4 things you can hang on the valet stand or sitting on top of the small side table that is meant to act as a desk. The 2nd bedroom is very tight with no storage (except for the valet stand w not hangers). 2 people staying here for a week was fine because we could use the 2nd bedroom to lay our clothes out on the bed, but 4 people would have been way too crowded with not enough space for clothing and toiletries. I would strongly recommend the owners allow some kind of closet space in both bedrooms as well as the smaller bathroom.

Stayed Jun 12, 2023Working with Rebekah was very easy. She quickly responded to my questions. Ensured our check in was uneventful and our expectations were met. The home was beautiful and met our needs. It was close enough to the street car line and made getting around very easy but, you must be able to walk a few blocks. You could also Uber at very reasonable rates because you are close enough to downtown. It was nice to leave the city and return to the quieter Garden district at night. The only disappointment was not having access to the washer/dryer. Let's face it, after sweating all day, your clothes are anything but fresh. Bring a compression bag for your dirty clothes. It would have been nice to return home with clean clothes. I feel I have to say something about the neighborhood because some of the homes have not been repaired since Katrina. It's a little alarming at first but you soon realize it's safe to walk, the neighbors were kind, and the disrepair is due to the hurricanes New Orleans has to endure.
