Immaculate Resort Cottage across Lake Kai & Fishing Pier

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the house. It was our second year staying there because it was just right for our family. We especially appreciated the bedroom setup with each having a private bathroom. We were very close to the playground and had access to Lake Kai nearby as well. It was nice having plenty of parking space for our cars and golf cart. We spent lots of time on the comfy and bright screened porch. The only problem we had was that the grill was dirty and a good sized fire flared under the grate when we tried to use it. We also had concerns about the monitoring of the golf cart usage. Many youngsters(underage) were driving way too fast considering all of the pedestrian traffic in tight spaces.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A great choice for 3-4 couples. It’s spacious, very clean and pretty well located (10 minutes or less walk to the beach). We loved the screened porch with fans. It’s also across the street from the pretty boardwalk at Lake Kai, a nice way to walk to the pool. 
PROS: well taken care of, nice linens and towels, tastefully decorated, well supplied, There’s space for 4 cars (unless you rent a golf cart which takes up a space).

The management company is very responsive. Tom from maintenance came over right away after hours for two issues, and resolved them quickly.
The kitchen is well supplied with kitchen equipment, very nice dishes (as well as lots of kid dishes) and plenty of flatware.

TIPS This property doesn’t include a golf cart, so we rented one If you plan to rent a golf cart, you’ll need a heavy duty extension cord so that you can reach the outdoor plug. There’s also a wagon. 

Kitchen was very clean when we arrived- so no leftover staples. There is salt, pepper and some vegetable oil. We brought our own spices but you can just go the large grocery store on Rt. 12, 10minutes away. Also good to bring: some extra dishwasher and washing machine pods.
Seating. We had 4 couples, and the kitchen table/banquette would not comfortably seat 8 adults. Wish we had a table that worked for 8.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was great! It was very clean and well supplied with everything my family needed. We had 6 adults and 2 children under 6. The wagon was great to have when we went to the beach and there were a couple of beach chairs that we weren't expecting to have. We loved the fact that it had a bathroom attached to each bedroom. The beds were very comfortable too! We especially loved the screened in front porch and spent a good deal of time there! The location was nice as we were close to Lake Kai and the playground. There was a nice crib in the master bedroom closet, but it would have been nice to be able to move it elsewhere. We didn't think it would fit out the door. We brought a port-a-crib for our granddaughter and didn't use it as she slept in the twin bed room near her parents' room with her brother, but if you are planning to use it, it's good to know that fact.

Only thing that was missing is a golf cart. A little troublesome getting to the beach with all our stuff and having to make 2 trips with our car.

This was our fourth visit for tri-annual family reunions (70 relatives from 7 States in 6-7 houses). Site improvements were impressive. Only negative was unavailability of rental golf carts this year.

Great Location on the main road with more parking spaces than most of the homes out there. Only complaint is that it was not well supplied in the kitchen like most rentals. No supplies for cooking like salt/pepper, cooking oil, etc... No starter coffee, no sugar. You must bring every single thing needed for any meals. Also, no beach chairs or pool/beach toys like most homes. It is not required nor listed that the homes have these things, but after renting in Beachwalk for 15+ years, we found that most do. There was a red wagon for taking things to the beach.
