This house was absolutely perfect for a group of 10 friends. Very spacious, lots of comfortable gathering areas. Tammy and her maintenance team (Donnie) were so communicative and helpful during our stay. The large kitchen was fantastic! Would definitely stay again. Can’t say enough great things about this host/house!
We selected this home as a home base for a friends hiking trip. It was perfect! The location was ideal. It is tucked away in the woods with plenty of privacy, but it is close enough to shopping and all of the trails we wanted to hike. The house was super clean and well furnished. If you cook, you will need to bring all condiments (salt, pepper etc.), but there are plenty of pots, pans and all needed appliances. We had an awesome time!
The house was all you could ask for and then some very secluded beautiful views with a creek running through the back woods had any kitchen items you could want
Lovely, large home nestled in a wood setting; Stay included extended family; clean spaces, quiet setting. Tammy our host was great to work with! About 40 minutes from the North Entrance of Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns.
Had a gorgeous week with our children and grandchildren. Enjoyed the large kitchen where everyone could gather and eat and loved the large living area with the fireplace and lots of comfy seating. Lots to do in the area, even a trout farm just down the road! Great vacation house!
Lovely, spacious home that accommodated our large multi-family gathering; clean, quiet, nestled in the woods; host Tammy was very accessible; screened in large deck was a plus!
A fine property with just a handful of minor shortcomings.
What a wonderful house surrounded by nature! Great fire pit outside and a wonderful hot tub. We enjoyed the large kitchen and the beautiful fireplace with plenty of room for everyone.
Thoroughly enjoyed using this cabin, very secluded in the woods very large deck all the way around outside beautiful large kitchen and dining room. Plenty of seating in the living room for relaxing.
My family, brothers, sister-in-laws and parents (10 total) booked this house for a long weekend away and we’re not disappointed. The house was great, tons of room with different entertainment areas and was very clean. Very quiet location in the woods with a nice drive to the residence. Would definitely recommend this house.
Beautiful home and location, perfect for a weekend away. The place had a great layout with plenty of room for everyone to relax. The beds were comfortable and spacious, but most of the rooms upstairs had lots of stink bugs (dead and alive). There also seemed to be limited towels. The kitchen was great for a crowd. Plenty of pots and pans and table space. The only issue we had was that the ice maker and water dispenser were very slow. Overall, it was a wonderful time and getaway.
We loved everything about this property. The home was the perfect size for our family winter trip (10 people) and we really enjoyed the local areas to explore. The kitchen had more dishes and small appliances than you could possibly need. The owners have thought thoroughly about anything you might need while there. The hot tub was amazing and I would stay here many times again.
This is a very nice property and the hosts were exceptional by preparing their place for a day long power outage. The temperature was exceptionally cold during our winter stay but the hosts not only had a whole house generator for the power outage (so our comfort was seamless), they kept the house cozy and warm with a great heating system and wonderful hottub. Highly recommend this getaway set-up!
Our family gathered for Thanksgiving. The house and property was very clean. Lots of space for a family of 12. The hot tub was great. Plenty of comfy beds and linens. The kitchen was wonderful. We would definitely rent this property again!
Large, clean, comfortable house. Firepit with stacked wood. Hot tub. Large kitchen convenient for entertaining. Great place to spend time with family.
Our second time staying there, so that tells you how much we like it!
We enjoyed all this property had to offer. Very spacious with 2 large en suite bedrooms and 2 additional full baths. Spacious rooms, screened porches and deck. Very clean on arrival. This home is very isolated, up a winding road to a long stone driveway. We enjoyed the isolation and did not mind the drive to Shenandoah NP and other hiking areas. No complaints. Although the owner,s home is visible from the front of the rental house., we saw no one during our stay.
As usual this cabin treated the group well. We are excited to go back!
We loved our time at this property. Very clean and spacious, with plenty of amenities (loved the grill!). We did a wonderful hike just 15 minutes away - and enjoyed a few local wineries. There was also a big thunderstorm and the property owner / manager was very responsive. We would love to come back!!
While the house is beautiful a d was beautifully decorated for Christmas it was in need of much repair. The fireplace on the main level of the house stopped working. The toilet on the main floor started to overflow. We had to call the owner well after midnight to assist because they kept the plungers locked up in a supply closet. The ovens need attention. They took a really long time to come to temperature. When you’re cooking for large crowds that’s a huge inconvenience. The water was scolded my hands several times whether I was using the sink in the kitchen or in the bathroom…that needs to be adjusted it’s a safety issue. The bedrooms were nice and spacious. The bathrooms came with plenty of towels and toiletries. The bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked. Our stay wasn’t terrible, there were just some servicing issues that could have made our stay much more enjoyable if they were resolved.
This beautiful cabin in the woods was absolutely perfect for a girls weekend! Beautiful property/ views with one of the most comfortable homes I have ever stayed in! The hosts provided pretty much everything we would need for our stay including plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods, a fresh sponge, dish soap, etc! All the beds and chairs were beyond comfortable! We had 6 ladies in our group but this house could definitely accommodate 12 people. My group particularly loved the towel warmers in some of the bathrooms and the warming drawer in the kitchen! The house wasn’t a far drive from plenty of wineries but is still fairly remote. The gravel road to the house was kept up well so none of our cars had a hard time getting up to the house. Can’t wait until we are able to come back for another beautiful weekend at the cabin.
