Beautiful property. The house was set up for both comfort and entertainment. I really appreciated that there were plenty of games, toys, confortable couches, and a ping pong table! The mattresses on the beds were amazing. Best sleep I'd had in months!

The stay was great! The location was very good. The firepit was so fun each night. The game room was excellent! We had two little ones and they were so entertained with the Lincoln logs, wooden train set, leggos and more! It was so nice they were not on their devices all night! Thank you Tim!

This house was perfect for a family vacation! We loved the open floor downstairs and being able to walk over to the beach.

The property has potential but needs attention. While it accommodates family gatherings, the listing and amenities are somewhat misleading, leading to disappointment. I didn't complain during the stay, but if you're considering renting, here are key points: Pros: - Great location near Acadia/Bar Harbor, perfect for exploring Maine. - Beautiful wooded setting. - Well-equipped kitchen with appliances, dishes, pots, pans, grill, and fire pit. - Games, TV, clean towels, and linens. Cons: - Limited beach access; no private beach. The path is poorly marked, leading to a rocky area, unsuitable for kids or older adults. - Major mold in the downstairs bathroom and a significant leak through the bathroom light fixture when the upstairs shower is used. This was reported to the homeowner, but it's a safety concern. - Unsafe step from the back door to the fire pit, not ideal for kids or elderly guests. - Dead animals in traps near the fire pit, causing a bad smell. - Stained, musty couches in the front room. - The clawfoot tub upstairs is charming but impractical to use. - Leaky faucets in the upstairs bathroom, difficult to turn off. - No trash pickup, a smelly fridge needing cleaning, and a non-working ice maker. - Missing basic supplies like soap, paper towels, or extra trash bags, which would have been nice to have. - Important details are only shared after booking; these should be provided upfront to make an informed decision. Feeling disappointed in this home!

The house was great and well appointed! We had everything we needed. We especially loved the fire pit and ping pong table. It was the perfect size for a family of 6 plus one dog. The distance to Acadia was a bit longer than we expected -- only 25 miles or so but this translated to 45 mins to an hour - depending on the time of day.

Positives: Quiet, rustic location-central to all of our activities. Access to beach with kayaks and canoe for sailing was a plus. Well-stocked with needed supplies and activities/games for all ages. Very responsive communications with host. Comfortable beds. Negatives: Unreliable water pressure issues, although host was responsive to plumbing concerns. This is a problem that needs to be addressed before future rental.

We were up to visit family. The house is very conveniently located to a lot of great places in the area. Plenty of room to move around in the house. Note to self, if they tell you to conserve water, heed their advice.
