Overall it is a nice home, a great location and with a little upgrading of the kitchenware and a better property manager this could be a nice rental. The property is in a good location and the house is great for a small group. However, the property manager is an auto-generated computer and call center. They sent us the wrong code to check into the property and a local contact who when we called said they no longer were involved with this property. Lucky for us someone left the man door in the back unlocked and we were able to get into the property or else we would have had to sleep in the car that night. We contacted the property management company again the next day to get the right code and wifi info and got a response for another customer that made no sense. We then called and they finally put us in touch with the owner, who was nice and provided us with the wifi info via text. Make sure you take good cooking utensils as this place is not very well appointed and most of the items were very worn out.
Very nice property, clean and great location to sand hallow resort for fishing and jeeping. Could have used a few more rolls of toilet paper and garbage bags. We spent a week on 3 garbage bags and 4 rolls of toilet paper. Other than that great place.
Everything was perfect during our stay. Very clean and comfortable home to stay in with a small or large family. We had such a good time
It was a great place to stay, comfortable and safe. It was easy access to stores and the town. I would defiantly recommend to anyone
Had a great stay. House had everything we needed. We loved the pool and the neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Well, I really wanted to love this place but it wasn’t terribly welcoming to be honest. The house was clean and quiet…but there were notes all over the house about “extra charges” (if you use the beach towels and don’t wash and dry them, if you park on the street, if there’s a noise complaint, etc.). And the biggest one was the fee to heat the pool. It was $100/night (which was posted in the listing. We didn’t opt in and it wasn’t necessary because it was plenty warm for a cool pool). It just felt like they were saying everything had an extra charge. The beds were pretty bad. My husband slept on the floor for 2 nights because the beds were that bad (he’s too tall for the bunk beds). They were all really soft and lumpy. They really do need to be replaced. Then, there’s a small pool house being built and we had workers on site while we were sitting outside. I felt like we should have been asked if this was ok! The outdoor furniture was sparse and fairly well used, but functional. The BBQ had to be scrubbed clean before we used it as it was disgustingly dirty. An umbrella or some sun covering by the pool would have been great.
Property manager was extremely helpful and handled things quickly. I was unaware of construction going on. Lounge chairs by pool had no cushions. Chairs were very hard to layout on. House was in good condition and clean. Beds were comfy.
The house and pool were great. Location to sand hollow couldn't be better. The bed in the master bedroom definitely needs to be replaced though. There was also no propane for the grill so we had to go do a propane exchange to grill hotdogs for one night. The propane cost more than what we grilled. And the washing machine smelled of mildew. But the house and the pool were great. Great location and nice neighborhood. Never worried about a thing. We would probably stay here again.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was nice very clean, we had everything we needed. The only problem and why I would not rent again would be the master bed was so uncomfortable. It feels like you're falling off the sides and it's way too soft. The pool was really nice and clean.
Check in was super easy. Communication with the property manager was pretty easy. The property didn’t have any shampoo or conditioner. In the many Vrbos that we’ve stayed in, they’ve always had it included. I texted the property manager and he brought some over in the morning. The pool has a lot of sand/dirt at the bottom that should be cleaned out to make it more appealing and feel cleaner. Kitchen needs a fly swatter, as there were some flies in there when we got there. Overall, good place to stay!
