Stayed Oct 29, 2022They refuse to explain why I’m being charged an additional 426.25 for bringing pets. No where does it state there is an additional charge for pets. The one place I was able to find a pet fee after digging was only 250.00. Save yourself the headache. House is very outdated. Showers are small and my husband not only had to duck to take a shower he couldn’t even see in the mirror without ducking. All the outside doors feel as if they can easily be kicked in with one only latching with the deadbolt. We seen multiple mice droppings on the kitchen counter. The washer and dryer are outside the home in the garage. They also require you to wash your own linens and dry them before you leave. Only plus is it’s very secluded. Mostly because of the home next door that is literally falling down from being abandoned. We were worried about people squatting. After disputing the extra charge I was notified that they do not wash the comforters after every guest. That is disgusting and should be a health violation. Especially after Covid. Zero stars. Highly do not recommend you wasting your time. We seen plenty of nicer homes listed for vacation rentals. Save yourself the headache.

Stayed Feb 24, 2018Hunter's Haven is just as it looks in the photographs. The two bedroom suites offer privacy for everyone. This is a true Old Florida beach house. We spent hours sitting on the deck and front porch, depending on the time of day and the sun and the heat. Sunrises were amazing. Sunsets were amazing. This is casual living with furniture that is comfortable but not fussy. The king size beds were very comfortable. The. couch is a bit sat out and it would be nice if it were replaced. But that is not a big deal. If a light fixture were installed over the washer/dryer, that would be a huge improvement.

Stayed Nov 22, 2017Our family of 21 members had a gathering at my brothers in St. Augustines for Thanksgiving 2017. Five of us, plus our 2 dogs, rented Hunter's Haven for our home for the week. Everyone gathered at the cottage to swim at the beach. What a wonderful place. The 5 of us staying at the cottage had plenty of room, towels and most everything else we needed. We were able to create tons of memories as a family on the wonderful beach. Thank you.

Stayed Aug 23, 2017Can't say enough about the views, both front and back. The location is awesome. Finding the driveway the first time may be a challenge. Insects are everywhere: Giant spider guards the dryer in the garage, ants in kitchen, large cockroaches on the walls, new spider webs every morning in the living room (don't look at the lamps-they are covered in webs), and wasps on beach walkway. The house can not cool down with all the daylight coming through and under doors and windows. If you rent here, do yourself a favor and buy a fan or 2 for the bedrooms on the way. Ceiling fan in living room works well. The kitchen is ok but watch for broken/cracked dishes. Bedrooms are on opposite sides of house with their own bath. Each bath has small shower, no tub. An exit to back deck is located in second bedroom's bath. The toilet in that bath isn't quite level. Access to the beach is great. It is very convient to just cross the private wooden walk right on to the beach. Beach towels and boogie boards are provided (just make noise before entering garage to get boards to alert arachnids). Outdoor shower was great for rinsing sand off.

Stayed Jun 10, 2017Location was great! True beach house...nothing fancy but had just about everything we wanted. Curtain desperately needed on bathroom window. Screen doors need to be fixed to be functional. Outdoor shower could use a privacy fence around it. Trashcan was at curb completely filled upon our arrival on Saturday, leaving us with no place to put our trash until pickup on Monday. Prior guests left overflow trash in a large bucket under the steps outside...which we had to dispose of. There is a recycle bin, but we were never informed of pickup days, so we were unable to use it. What a shame! Available recycling would remedy the trash situation. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable furniture. We would like to return!
