Huge Secluded Lakeside Super Private Gorgeous Retreat

First off, I cant say enough about the host. Mike was very attentive and accommodating. 5 Stars!We had a family get together over Thanksgiving. 10 Adults and 8 kids. Plenty of room for everyone plus some. Take note: the owners description is spot on to include his OCD Disclaimer.Upstairs is very nice. Downstairs, although a little rough around the edges, provided a great place for the kids to run around and make noise. Its not posh, but if you want to have a large get together with family or friends for just about any kind of occasion, this place is worth considering.

We had 7 golfers in our party and truly enjoyed the privacy and layout. The owner was onsite to meet us as we arrived and provided a tour. We regretted not bringing any fishing equipment but relaxed on the back porch overlooking the pond. We look forward to staying there again next year as we travel up for our annual golf tournament at Hawks Ridge.

Our stay at Hickory Flats Lodge was fantastic !!!! Our host Mark went above and beyond in every way possible. He was extremely garcious and easy to work with answering all of our questions from the early days of planning the trip and during our stay. The property is spacious

The children were gainfully occupied with all the indoor and outdoor activities.

This place has everything you can ask for. Beautiful open floor plan and plenty of space upstairs to get all our family together. Downstairs was perfect fun space for anyone… bar with stage, ping pong, foosball, arcade cabinet, poker table, workout room and lots of beds and space for family to crash. On top of all that you have the lake and docks, indoor basketball and lots of space to hike and play outside. Thanks for sharing your space with us. It was a very special time for our family!

I cannot imagine my wedding weekend being more amazing than it was and I'm delighted to have been able to hold it at Mark's property. The property is beautiful and the scenery is amazing for photos. From start to finish Mark was communicative and helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. He had a few renovations done before our check-in time and communicated with me each step of the way. He's a very sweet host, very accommodating and willing to go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, easy, and comfortable. The property quite literally has everything you need for a small event, party, or wedding. Our guests who stayed at the property had comfortable sleeping arrangements, lots of space and the bar / pub downstairs is an extra bonus! I would highly recommend this property to anyone & look forward to coming here again in the future. Thanks for everything, Mark. You are the most gracious host!

We chose this home because it was big enough for what we needed and the pictures were beautiful. Once we got there, there was piles of debris laying all around the property. We couldn't allow the kids to go outside. The carpet was dirty in both upstairs and downstairs. The room that has the bump beds in it....those beds were not stable and the mattresses has dents in it. We couldn't get proper sleep. We feel as if we were over charged for what we got. If the place sleeps up to 28, why were we charged for having only 26 people. His wording needs to be changed on his profile. We arrived the day before Thanksgiving and we were so displeased, we left right after Thanksgiving dinner. We were scheduled to leave the day after. There's so many other things that I can say about this place but I'll leave it at that.

We had an amazing 3 day stay for our wedding ! Everything was just amazing from the trees to the lake to everything inside the house !! Such a beautiful property. Mark made it possible for our wedding to be perfect! The communication was remarkable so helpful with everything we needed ! Can’t wait for our next stay at the lodge ! I can not say enough good things about the place or about the host. The pictures honestly do not do the place justice. It is just as beautiful inside and out and definitely has anything you can think of as far an entertainment. Mark is next level as a host and is super responsive with any questions. I will absolutely do my best to book the place again and recommend it to everyone that I know that is looking for a place to have a get together.

Hickory Lodge is a wonderful place to stay! Mark the owner is absolutely amazing. The property has beautiful views. We did a small family wedding of 50 people or less and it turned out beautifully lots of places to sleep in the house lots of options for ceremony space, Mark was really amazing and attentive to his guests. I highly recommend this great property!

Great location and plenty of things to do at the property or a short drive to restaurants. Mark was a great host, and is very quick with getting back to you or helping with recommendations.

It is a peaceful property with great access to the lake and the outdoors. The families loved the entertainment by the Hickory Flats band and the basement was a great setup for the party. The owner was amazing and responsive to anything that we needed!!

This is a perfect spot for baseball teams playing at PBR or Perfect Game. We had a great amount of space for parents and the kids stayed in the basement. Mark was a phenomenal host including having his band play for the team the night before we left. We cooked on the deck for the whole team while everyone played in the pond out back, bags on the lawn. If we play again in Georgia, we will be staying there 100%

Mark was an awesome host. .et us on arrival to show us the house. Kept in touch all week to make sure everything was going great. Loved sitting outdoors just listening to nature. Kids enjoyed all the games, the kayak, swimming and fishing.

This house sits on a beautiful piece of property. It was large enough to easily accommodate our large party. We enjoyed our short time together. Thank you!

Beautiful property with so many outdoor activities! Great for large family gatherings! So close to grocery stores too! Owner's description was very detailed of his property. Very nice guy too! Have a great summer!
