We were very comfortable here-it is a huge house and perfect for our horse show weekend. Very nice kitchen and plenty of room. Very private and a gorgeous view.
My friends and I enjoyed staying at Ken's property for a wedding weekend getaway. Ken was a very communicative host. There was lots of outdoor beauty to enjoy and plenty of things to do in the house when we weren't at the wedding. We enjoyed gathering in the spacious kitchen, living room, and sunroom.
Beautiful views! Ken was great to work with throughout the booking process. The home setup was perfect for our family gathering and only 20 min from Okemo. The only downside was the lack cell phone reception. We would definitely rent this place again!
Everything about this house was beautiful for multiple families to visit! We loved the house, location, accommodations etc. the only downfall is that even though they say there is internet, there is not functional internet for any type of work. I was hoping to remote in for a day but that was not possible. Pure vacation :)
We are grateful that Ken and Michele shared their huge place at the last minute!
First the good: The property and view from the house is beautiful. Now the not-so-good: The house itself needs a deep cleaning: the floors were dirty, there were cobwebs and dust, spiderwebs in the windows making it so you can't open windows for fresh air. There was no coffeepot, only a Keurig which we don't use due to the waste of pods. It's also longer to drive to South Woodstock and Woodstock than cited on the description. Perhaps more concerning though was that there is a smaller cottage on the property (something we didn't seem to be aware of) and the people staying there while we were in the other house seemingly were in a volatile domestic relationship. Every single day, through closed windows, we could hear their screaming, swearing, banging and abuse; this was not acceptable for our children to experience and made the vacation week so uncomfortable that we avoided being at the house as much as possible (other than to sleep). We tried to leave but with numerous events happening in the area there was no place else for us to stay, so we ended up going home early. It was distressing to witness, especially for my children, so future renters, be aware (it seemed as though these people were staying for awhile).
We needed a large space for a group of riders showing at GMHA and it was great for us to be able to be under one roof!
