What our guests say
Great place, great owners and a terrific vacation. Highly recommended!
If you are a large family and need a place to stay I highly recommend this house. We had 17 adults and kids stay here and at no time did we feel cramped.
Our stay at the Anahola beach house was outstanding! We LOVED the house as it fit our large family with plenty of beds and room to be together! The beach was a short walk, and we had an amazing time swimming and using the various boogie boards, snorkels, sand toys, etc. that were available. This house will forever be a special place by the ocean for our family. We made so many memories and had a ball! Thank you for sharing this property...! We enjoyed it immensely! Mahalo! Regards, Gly

All Hawaiian homes have geckos, ants, spiders and roaches. This is tropical Hawaii and we use non toxic and safe pest controls. The Home has some geckos (Tiny & almost never seen). They make an odd clicking-kissing sound as they patrol the home for unwanted bugs. Spiders are in the yard. (not poisonous). They are larger and are beneficial to the Hawaiian ecosystem. We move them to parts of the yard guests will not be in or the Garage. Ants might show up when food is left out, and and a roach is usually never encountered. This is Hawaiian life found in all homes.

The house was spacious and worked out perfect for our family. the view of the beach was spectacular. We spent many days snorkeling fishing and playing in the surf. Most of the beach goers were local and the beach was not crowded.Joe was attentive and accommodating to our needs.

Very welcoming host! Perfect location and size for our large group. Only complaint is the beds were very uncomfortable and hard. One room bed was practically on the floor, bedding did not fit correctly on any of the beds. All other amenities were excellent!

This was the perfect home for our vacation. The home and grounds were very well cared for. We were close to very family friendly beaches and shopping areas. The host were amazing to work with and quick to respond to any questions. Please experience this wonderful property for yourself.

Lovely view. Plenty bathrooms. Well equipped. Too far to comfortably carry canoes. Sprinkler needs work. Chairs and cushions on platform in the bushes are worse for wear. They should be removed. Needs trash pick up along road area. Beautiful, uncrowded beach. Loved the interior and the art pieces, the long dining table and comfortable living room chairs. Some sliding doors were difficult to open and close. All in all we very much enjoyed the home.

We had a family reunion with our 5 children, a houses and grandchildren. The house was a perfect fit. The adults had their own space and the kids had the bunk room and game room. We couldn’t have been happier. Joe and Melody were responsive to our questions. We knew up front that a couple of the ceiling fans weren’t operating and they had a repairman come in for the broken air conditioner. We loved having access the surf boards, snorkeling gear, etc. and to have the beach only steps away was wonderful. House is conveniently located to access both the north and south shores. Loved the Fireshow and hula at Anahola. A perfect vacation.

Great House with lots of room to spread out. It was a short stroll to the ocean where we watched the sunrise while having a good morning cup of coffee. The kids enjoyed playing on the beach and running from the surf. As we went on adventures away from the house we learned to get on the road before 10 AM to avoid the traffic.

The home was huge and super comfortable, it was an older home but well taken care of, we all loved it..Lots of things for the kids to do and the beach was so close! We had a great time and are very grateful for the opportunity to stay there. The owner was great in getting back to me with any questions I had… the only drawback was that the beach was public so at night there would be cars parked there all night sometimes playing loud music

Joe and Melody were fantastic hosts and their house is just stunning. The home is peaceful, spacious, well stocked, centrally located and the perfect place to host an small event. We held an intimate wedding ceremony and reception and it could not have been more perfect. Basically all of our guests (all ages) were able to stay at the home and it had everything we needed. Joe was extremely communicative for over a year while I was planning and needing questions answered about the space. I was even able to coordinate a site visit to the home while there was a gap in bookings months prior to our stay. He treated us so well and I couldn't have dreamt up a better place to get married, truly. The house is VERY well stocked. Previous guests leave leftovers of all kinds which I think is the right way to do a rental! make sure you see what the house has before going on your big grocery run :) Parking is strict but Joey and Melody have done a good job securing a large space for guests to park and also have alternate options that won't disturb the neighbors. There was plenty of space for our wedding vendors to come and go and have priority parking as needed. There are some critters around but thats Hawaii, no one was bothered or harmed by any. Beds are comfy, A/C works great and the seating in the main room makes for the perfect place for your group to gather. Definitely would stay here again and again!

It had been almost 5 years since we had our 8 children and their families all together. Kauai was the perfect location for this gathering of 20 people ranging from 3 yrs old to early sixties. Everyone agreed that this house was perfect! From the sleeping arrangements to the backyard access to a perfect beach to the house being clean/comfortable/spacious and stocked with everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach supplies. It's location is perfect as well being about halfway between Lihue and Princeville. We loved this home, highly recommend it to others and hope to return some day!! The Gardners

nice home and great walk to beach. House needs maintenance. Most of the time no hot water, dishwasher wouldn't disolve soap, sliding door to beach horrible shape. Tons of ants cleaned up daily. Cockroaches running across the stove. ebikes not working. Road in terrible shape. Should be better maintained
