Stayed May 30, 2025The beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the decor from the 1960. Had a kitchen table like the one there so lots of childhood memories. Had lots of room and parking was easy. I really enjoyed it.

Stayed Apr 25, 2025We all felt odd, as if there was someone watching us. But beyond that, address was hard to see at night, the tub was dirty, the one bed had dirty sheets, the thermostat was hard to set, there was a loud dog barking all afternoon, there was only one bath differing from listing, the 'game room' is sorely lacking a selection of games, multiple lightbulbs were missing or flashing. And the 1960's time capsule includes stinky carpets from the 60's. And if I hadn't read the reviews, I would have missed there is no T.V. which was fine by me but for the time. They could have had an old time TV with the manual knob to change channels, it would have added to the theme. There is a nice record player, but records are sparse. The history of the property and historical items were amazing. As long as yr prepared for rest. had dirty sheet under the blanket,

Stayed Mar 29, 2025Me and my wife visited KC for a week, and this property was perfect for us. We needed something close to downtown, where I was working, and it was 15-20 minutes from everywhere and everything we needed. Closest Hy-Vee grocery store was 10 minutes, all very easy and convenient. We absolutely loved staying here, especially the pine knob bedroom! Everything worked perfectly, she made great full course meals in the kitchen. We loved the history of the home, and being able to read about it in the provided information there. We could not have been happier, and hope to stay again one day!

Stayed Dec 20, 2024The house was very neat due to the old stuff left set up. The smell was a bit old (like an old library). Maybe a stronger plug-in freshener would help. This stuff was ok, but the fact that there was NO TV was crazy to us. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Stayed Sep 20, 2024This little time capsule was the perfect spot for exploring the city. Within half an hour to tons of places to explore. The home was fully stocked and ready for us. It’s charm never faded during our stay, there was always something fun to discover.

Stayed Jun 14, 2024Very cute place! if you’re wanting a true 1960s stay this was definitely it! The only thing is that it kinda smelt musty, could use air fresheners. the stove was a little wacky and some parts didn’t work so not great for cooking. The beds were super comfy and the record player had some great records. The journals from the previous owners were also super fun to read. Would love to come again.

Stayed Sep 22, 2023Apparently someone had passed away and the house was bought. The man’s personal items and diaries were still there. The kitchen had been left as if it hadn’t been touched since he died. The towels were old and tiny. I thought it was a house “themed” to be 1960s decor. Heck to the no. This was a person’s house, decor and belongings. It was very creepy, but when we found the partially burnt bundle of cleansing sage-we left in the afternoon of day 1 of our 2 day stay. Our kids were freaked out! My husband and I were more than uncomfortable.
