Stayed Jun 25, 2025This property is amazing for its views of Arenal. Very comfortable 3 bedroom house will make your stay more enjoyable. The only downside was the bar next door. We had to have them turn down the music the first night but after that, it was great!

Stayed May 22, 2025Right in a little village on the mountains overlooking lake Arenal. Clean and efficient with air conditioning in the bedrooms which cools the whole house. Parking is a little tight as it sets right next to a road going up the mountain, but it was okay for our smaller car. It had everything we needed for a nice stay.

Stayed Mar 10, 2025El Castillo is very small and quiet- a lovely contrast from La Fortuna - and is just about 30 minutes from most of the activities and attractions/tours. We are so glad we stayed in this town. The butterfly pavilion was a great stop, and the several restaurants, the bakery- so wonderful! The place was perfect- the AC kept us comfortable, and the birds in the morning were fun to hear with howler monkeys in the distance. What a sweet little place.
