Excellent location and view, great host communication, exceeded my expectations!

We are very grateful the host was patient with us as we delayed checking in due to train strikes/delays.Amenities were a bit unsatisfactory. House was cold even having turned on heating. The house is not as per website, it has 4 sets of floors with stairs. The other flior has no toilet and we had to go to fourth floor to use the toilet. No duvets only bed covers which were not warm. For winter, there is need for duvets and also need for extra blankets if you need them.On checking in, we were told we had to pay for GAS after our stay. We then referred back to website highlighting this information was not on the website. Eventually the host agreed that we do not pay GAS but this stressed us.

We couldn’t have been happier with the location- just steps from the Basilica of St Francis and so many more beautiful sights. The simple accommodations were perfect for our multi-night stay in Assisi.

ARNALDO grazie mille. You are an exceptionally wonderful host. You reply to our every message, immediately. You came when we called to tell we werd arriving. The house is pochi passi to the Basilica di San Francesco. And to other shrines. The beddings were clean. Your trash bins were systematically organized. Everything we needed for a short stay were provided. Wifi was perfect. And the rooftop had a spectacular view.We were a family of 7 and each one of us are unanimous is saying .. we recommend you wholeheartedly. Ciao ci vedremo un altra volta

Wow! What a great location for a peaceful stay in Assisi! We couldn't have been happier with our time here. Our group had 2 adults and 5 kiddos (Ranging from 14 years old - 1 year old) and there was plenty of room in this house for all. Lots of beds (Pack N’ Play offered as well) and a wonderful kitchen with lots of space for gathering as a family and enjoying any meals we had inside. (Also, lots of room on the gigantic dining room table for the kids to put together a 1000-piece puzzle in their downtime) Honestly, this house could probably hold a group closer to 12-14 people, which speaks to how much room there was. You have 4 separate levels PLUS a balcony which overlooks the Basilica, the countryside and the incredible sunsets! The owner, Arnaldo Rossi, was very helpful in getting us checked in and showing us the property and easy to get ahold of on WhatsApp or via VRBO. Also, nice to have in the house was a washing machine with soap provided (will need to dry laundry on the roof). This house is one of the prettiest in all of town, as there are gorgeous flowers that adore the façade. So nice, that you will have people strolling by all day stopping to take photos of the front of the house, which is fun to see. Walking out of the front door, you turn to your left and can see St. Francis’s Basilica at the bottom of the lovely street. For a family or large group thinking of spending some time in Assisi, we highly recommend Casa Santa Margherita!!
