The house is tight for six people; the dining table only sits four. The house would be better reconfigured to have two bedrooms, a bigger sitting/dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. One of the two couches was very uncomfortable. The single toilet is in between the kitchen and the sitting/dining room with *no* sound insulation. There was a significant leak from the shower into the sitting room which from the marks on ceiling and walls was not new. There was a strong smell of mold under the kitchen sink. On our arrival we found a wet mop and cleaning rags in a bucket—these were moldy by our departure—and I imagine these were going to be reused to clean after we left. There was only one oven mitt and no rubber spatula. Having said all this, the house is lovely and the setting glorious—a little bit of attention and a few repairs/replacements would make a great deal of difference.
