Hot Tub + Mtn Views: Peaceful Blue Ridge Retreat!

This was a lovely place to stay. It felt peaceful and we enjoyed staying here very much. It was the perfect location for visiting downtown Blue Ridge and Ellijay - and we took a day trip to Helen. Sitting in the fire pit area was awesome and we saw a couple deer and enjoyed the fireflies. The house has a great set up with places to hang out or get some time to yourself. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the gorgeous trees and listening to the birds. The host communicated promptly. I would happily stay here again.

The property was beautiful and very close to town. Loved the bedrooms and was fully stocked with all we needed.Only issue was we wanted to check in early and never heard back from the host. The property manager was unable to help us with this and told us to email and phone the owner, who never responded once during the stay :(

The host was very friendly and responsive. The cabin was perfect inside & out. And it was the perfect distance from town.

Nice cabin in a great location.

This was our second time staying at calico cabin and couldn't have asked for anything more. Being minutes away from downtown Blue ridge, Georgia gives you access two local attractions. BR scenic railway, Bigfoot excursion, Appalachian trails horseback, Blue ridge off-road adventures to name a few. In addition to the numerous dining experiences. The cabin itself is cozy and we do appreciate the split level suites. Jim, the host is extraordinary. Upon our arrival he had the cabin decorated in Christmas decor.

Great communication with Jim the host in advance. Location very close to blue ridge but still felt private. Loved the gas touch button fireplace and hot tub. Made the cabin very warm and cozy. Very clean. We have a 4WD bronco and kind of needed it to get up the gravel hill but normal car probably ok. Really nice view.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Calico Cabin. Our host was very responsive answering questions and providing helpful recommendations for our time in the Blue Ridge area. We are very picky about the places we stay, and this cabin exceeded our expectations. I look for comfortable beds. Covered porches with good seating. Newer hot tub. Good road with easy access to the cabin not far off a main road. Location not too steep and not requiring a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Private location. Lovely view from the outside porches. Propane grill. Adequately supplied kitchen for cooking. This cabin met all the requirements. As it turned out, it rained the entire week that we were there, but I had a wonderful stay. Because the cabin was so well designed, we read books, sat outside on the porches enjoying the fall leaves and cool weather, enjoyed the hot tub, cooked all our meals, and never left the cabin until we checked out. And it was wonderful. The cabin is 3 levels with a bedroom and bath on each level, so it would be perfect for 3 couples or to give kids their own floor. I hope to return again next year and can definitely recommend this place if you are as picky as I am and want a top notch stay.

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well stocked with kitchen equipment, games, and even a dog bowl! Jim was a super responsive host and check in and check out were easy. Highly recommend!

Great location, convenient to everything

Clean, stocked with essentials, well maintained hot tub, nice view, great location near downtown, decks galore, comfortable (firm) bed, and plentiful close hiking. We had a pleasant, but not long enough stay.

Awesome cabin clean spacious. Feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Hot tub then directly into double headed cold shower so close to everything fireplace is great warms loft above living room for awesome naps. My husband loved his birthday trip. Will be back next year. One note Maps will stop at wrong cabin go to end of lane on left side

Enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was comfortable, clean and conveniently located near Blue Ridge. We rode the scenic railway and had many good meals in the local restaurants.

The property was clean and comfortable. Located close to everything. We would definitely visit again! The one thing we wish we knew about prior to arrival is the road up to the cabin is not paved and is a steep incline.

Great cabin, close to everything. If you a big party, living room may be a bit small, but all else great.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Calico Cabin! The hot tub was awesome! The layout of the cabin is perfect for 3 couples ( even though it was just my hubs & I) one bedroom per floor, each with a full bath. The road leading in to the cabin was a challenge for our little Honda HRV but def not a deterrent to renting again. Sooo close to downtown BR!

This cabin was cute and cozy. The view was exactly what we wanted. Check-in and communication from the host was super efficient. We had a fantastic stay. Just a heads up the road up to the property was a bumpy, but you get used to driving it. We are definitely looking to book this one again in the future.

We had a great enjoyable 4 day getaway and stay here. The cabin was great, very clean and peaceful place to just relax. This was the perfect secluded getaway that we needed.

We loved this cabin! It is very convenient to downtown but still on a quiet road. The cabin is clean and cozy and spacious. We were so pleased with our experience. The owners were great to work with too. I can’t say enough! Thank you for a great getaway!

We thought the location was really nice. We enjoyed eating meals on the balcony overlooking the tree tops on the hill. It was close enough to town to make going to the grocery store and downtown Blue Ridge very convenient. The beds were comfortable and it was nicely set up for us and our small dog. It is on a somewhat steep gravel road that got a bit rugged after a heavy rain storm. Thought it was a great cabin and really enjoyed our stay.

This was a great space for an elongated ladies' weekend getaway! The host was kind and communicative, the cabin was located close to several spots we thoroughly enjoyed, and was extremely spacious for the three of us. We also appreciated the touches that made it easy to travel with our pups! Thanks for the stay!

Blue Ridge was the perfect destination for our Senior Trip. Our group of 8 had plenty of space to relax and sleep comfortably. The cabin itself was beautiful and cozy, with the balconies and swings offering great spots to unwind. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and even had a fun night around the fire pit making s'mores. Every room, from the kitchen and bathrooms to the bedrooms and living areas, was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Cabin is conveniently located close to downtown, and stores like Walmart are also not too far. Jim, the host, is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone, specially large groups, looking for a peaceful, cozy, and well-equipped retreat that is minutes away from all the stores and restaurants.

Calico Cabin is spacious with 3 floors of living and sleeping space. Beautiful views from all 3 decks. Cabin was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It is also pet friendly which was perfect for us. Check in process was a breeze and Jim was very responsive with any questions we had. Would highly recommend this cabin.

We took our dog with us so we loved how dog friendly the cabin was; the porches have gates so she could walk around while we sat outside without worrying she would wander off property, and they had a crate there so we didn't have to transport one on our drive. It was just my husband and dog so we only slept in the top bedroom, but the cabin would be great for multiple couples because each bedroom had its own level. Was great location for us being our first visit to Blue Ridge because its like 7 minutes from the town. Most hiking trails are within 20-30 minutes. It's Spring so its mostly a wooded view with the tops of some mountains in view. We slept with the screen door open on our balcony which was lovely to wake up to the birds singing, and the sound of the Spring rain. We loved the porch swing. I will say Jim is a very responsive host, replying within minutes to any questions. We would definitely rent from any of his properties again. One thing to keep in mind is the basement level is like a good 10 degrees cooler than the top level, so if staying with multiple couples you will want the people who like it coldest to stay below and the ones who like it warmer on the top floor. Highly recommend a dinner at the General Ledger restaurant in town; amazing cornbread and pecan crusted trout!

Heading home from Florida to Michigan we found this beautiful place to land for a few days. Cabin was clean fully equipped with everything you will need. Jim was a great host and very responsive. Blue Ridge was amazing little town with breathtaking views I look forward to come back next year

Booked a last minute friend trip and it was excellent! Jim was so accommodating and responsive. The cabin is exactly as described and beautiful. Located close to downtown Blue Ridge and easy to access. We will definitely book again.

We stayed at Calico Cabin right after losing our beloved dog. It was exactly what we needed - relaxing, comfortable, and clean. Excellent location, quiet and secluded while still close to town. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Thank you, Jim!

The cabin was great, loved it! Everyone had a great time. The king bed was very comfortable. Nothing to complain about at all. Just a suggestion, update the board game's/ game's and add a deck of card's and maybe yatzee

My husband and I spent a long weekend (Friday - Tuesday) at Calico Cabin and enjoyed our stay. The cabin had everything we needed to cook a few times, enjoy coffee (we brought our own ground coffee and enjoyed a few pots while there), relax in the hot tub each night, and lounge around. The main bed upstairs was super comfortable and we were able to sleep in (no kids or animals with us!) each day and get a great rest each night. The cabin is just far enough away, but still 10 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Great location and not too far off the main road. We did have a SUV that worked great to go up and down the gravel road. The porch views were great and we loved spending time on all the levels.

The check in was very easy, the property is amazing. We needed a couple days to reset and celebrate my wife’s birthday. It was the perfect spot. The host was great with communication and very helpful.

My family met here for our Thanksgiving holiday. The house was better than the listing. Split in 3 levels so we all had privacy when needed. The owner, Jim, was very communicative and thoughtful. He had the house decorated for the holiday and an extra table with chairs set up to accommodate our family. I would highly recommend this cabin for family vacations.

Overall we had a very nice stay at this cabin. It was clean, comfy and cozy! It had the amenities that were listed. It is very dog friendly as well! The host is super nice and quick to respond. The only things that the cabin does not offer is firewood and bbq tools so I would suggest bringing your own. Also, the road leading to the cabin is gravel, steep and rocky. We had no problem but we had an SUV, not sure how a car would do especially if it rains.

We had a great weekend. Cabin was very nice and great location (in the mountains and close to town). You have everythign you need for a great stay. Jim was very easy to communicate with and gave all instructions to make check in and out very easy. We will return.

The Calico Cabin was the perfect place to rest and relax after our wedding. Jim made sure that our stay was phenomenal. The views are amazing and the hot tub is perfect to relax in after a day of hiking. We even saw two bears right outside of the cabin one morning. The road to get to the cabin is very steep, we had a truck so no problem but make sure to be prepared for that.

We had a boys’ weekend and the house was perfect. Great location close to downtown, lots of sleeping areas, and very clean. Highly recommend it! Host was very helpful and very responsive to questions, etc.
