Welcome to Blue Ash Cabin – a spacious, three-level retreat tucked into the woods, offering comfort, privacy, and a well-appointed setting just minutes from Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest.

With two full bathrooms and multiple sleeping areas, the cabin is ideal for families or small groups. The main level includes two private queen bedrooms; the open loft features a king bed and a twin daybed; and the lower level includes an additional enclosed queen bedroom.

The main living area features vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and an open layout that flows into a large, fully equipped kitchen—perfect for gathering and entertaining.

The finished lower level provides a second living space along with a small game area featuring foosball and darts, offering a great spot to relax or unwind in the evenings.

Step outside to enjoy the 6-person hot tub on the elevated deck overlooking the wooded hillside. The outdoor space also includes a Blackstone griddle and a fire ring—ideal for cooking out or winding down after a day of exploring. The spacious decks are a great place to enjoy morning coffee or a quiet evening.

Need-to-Know Info:

The cabin is located on a gravel road that is slightly steep, bumpy, and winding but manageable for most vehicles. Lowered vehicles may bottom out. During winter weather, AWD or 4WD is strongly recommended. Snow removal is professionally handled as needed.
Starlink WiFi is available throughout the cabin.
Cell service is best with AT&T and T-Mobile. Verizon is more limited and can make calls difficult, though texting and WiFi calling typically work.
The cabin uses well water. It is safe to drink, but guests who are sensitive to taste may prefer bottled water.

Less than 5 minutes from Wayne National Forest and about 20 minutes from Old Man’s Cave and the Hocking Hills trail system, Blue Ash Cabin offers a great balance of convenience and a quiet wooded setting.

Pet Policy: Up to 2 dogs allowed (some restrictions may apply). A $100 pet fee applies.

Overall, it was a successful stay. Excellent value. The property was very clean. Layout was awesome for what we needed. Loved the environment and location. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway, this is a great pick. Our family loved hanging out and it was within 15/20 minutes of all the popular hiking locations. Sitting by the fire at night was a really great experience because there is very little light pollution. It was literally “fire”. One thing really cool is there are two decks that provide a bit of privacy - depending on your party. Couple of things to keep in mind: 1). Getting to the cabin includes a VERY steep, gravel incline. Our car made it, but it’s good to be aware going into it. A smaller sedan might have some trouble :) Probably par for the course in that region; 2). Disappointed with the water quality. Couldn’t drink the water and showering had a pretty interesting smell. Not sure if this was a one-time occurrence, a local issue, etc. There is soft water - which is good. Could have been having an issue (?). Be sure to bring/purchase water. We would stay here again and gladly recommend it to anyone. It’s a very nice place and exactly what our family needed. The BlackStone is clutch! Nice addition to the experience.

We loved staying here. The place is very well-kept and clean, new and sturdy, and the hot tub is a welcome feature. Host was responsive when we reserved and during our stay, and we had no issues while we were there. Will definitely be looking here again!

Everything about this cabin was perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub was amazing! It's not too far from the hiking trails or to go into Logan for shopping and a bite to eat. The kitchen and living room area are open concept which we loved. There's an extra living area downstairs which we didn't use much but would be a great hang out if traveling with kids. Overall everything met our expectations and then some. We'll definitely be back!

This is our second visit to this property while visiting Hocking Hills for hiking and we returned because we like the open space of the first floor for friends to gather and play dominos or cards. We had 5 adults and loved having dinner at the big butcher block table in the kitchen and then after dinner playing dominos. It was perfect. The grill was great to cook fish each night (skillet surface). The 3 bedrooms worked out great and 4 of us even took a dip in the jacuzzi. Very clean. Will return!

My family and I had a wonderful time here! It was well stocked and clean. There is another cabin nearby but it was far enough that we did not hear them or be bothered. I was expecting to come across a lot more bugs (because it's a cabin in the woods lol) and they were not an issue at all so whatever they do here works VERY well!

Our family had a GREAT time visiting the Hocking shills region and enjoying our stay at this beautiful cabin. My wife commented several times on how clean it was. Lee was prompt to answer any questions and helped make the check in process smooth. He even came by during the week to check on us and see if we needed anything. My whole family rates this place very highly and we’d love to come back again. It was just the right distance from all that Hocking Hills has to offer and the perfect home base.

The cabin was VERY CLEAN and had everything we needed and more. My husband and I stayed with another couple and our two dogs. It was nice having 2 full bathrooms. We enjoyed the fire pit with Adirondack chairs, hot tub, Blackstone grill, and decks. We all liked the location of the cabin; it was close (maybe 15-20 min drive) to Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave where we hiked. Our AT&T service didn't work well around the area for directions, so we were glad our friends had Verizon that worked better. The owner made it clear on his instructions that cell service wasn't great and did provide very specific instructions on how to get to the cabin. We met the owner upon arrival and he was very nice. We'd stay in this cabin again and highly recommend it!

Cabin was cozy and surrounded by trees which gives you a sense of being secluded even though you could see the next cabin slightly. There were 4 adults and 1 dog in our group, it was spacious., Beds were comfortable. Had a bad thunderstorm one night and the electric went out, it was still off when we got up the next morning but not for long. I would suggest you bring flashlights just in case. Loved watching the wildlife.

Pulling up to the property you first notice the beautiful woods all around it. We din’t get to use the outdoor fire pit due to rain but very well done and looked so enjoyable. Very clean inside. Lots of different areas to hangout inside and outside the house. Hot tub was fantastic. Blackstone grill worked perfect. Lots of pots and pans. Plenty of plates and cups. Huge kitchen with lots of seating. Fireplace worked great. Firewood for sale on property right across from the house.

Cabin is sufficient. No live support for needs - keycode didn't work at check-in and had to wait for messages to be returned, had a power outage without any emergency lighting supplies, had aggressive dogs attacking from neighboring cabin occupants, etc. Cabin has worn furniture, kitchenware, floors, etc. One way gravel road access up steep climb. About 20 minute drive to Hocking Hills, to Logan, to Rockbridge, etc. Cabin had most items expected for normal needs. Washer and dryer worked well. Hot tub was around 100 and sat 4.

For our group, this property was private, cozy, clean and comfortable. It had everything equipped for our needs and the hot tub made an especially nice experience for after those long day hikes. We also enjoyed gathering together outside by the perfectly placed fire pit where we made more memories, laughing and looking at the beautiful stars. We started a “HIDE THE DOLLAR” game in this cabin. So if you stay here, find our family in the guestbook and the rules to the game and keep it going! We loved it here and will definitely be looking to return. Thank you to the host for providing such a lovely getaway and opportunity.
