We had a marvelous time at this lovely, clean, inviting and hospitable property. Two young grandparents, two early 30s parents, children who are 3 and 5, and a newborn. There was ample room for all of us! The place is quite spacious, with room for kids to spread out and play with toys on the floor or table. Two bedrooms had king beds, one had a queen and there was an extra room with a trundle bed where the kids preferred to sleep (the washer and dryer are in a room large enough to be a bedroom, and tastefully hidden by curtains). The closet in the second king bedroom was large enough to be the nursery! The kitchen was well and thoughtfully stocked. The linens were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The exterior of this property is also just plain divine. It's big! So much room for kids to explore. There's a 'saloon', a covered area with a picnic where you can play games (several are provided), a fire pit and adirondack chairs. We had breakfast outside one morning and 'happy cocktail' (with snacks) one evening, watching the children splash happily in the hot tub. The property is located very close to the center of Wimberley, and even closer to Market Days, which we were happy to experience. Finally, it was clear before we even arrived that the proprietor really cared about us having a great time and ensuring that everything was right for our stay. They fixed something that wasn't even a real problem! They were responsive, respectful and caring. Strong recommed!

We had a wonderful stay at Shady Grove! The property was relaxing, peaceful, and exactly what we were looking for. We loved seeing the guineas and deer roaming the property — it made the experience feel extra special and serene. The gated property was very clean, spacious, and well maintained. The bed was also extremely comfortable, which made it easy to fully relax and enjoy our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

These are not show stoppers. Overall property was lovely and great location. Check in is so late and check out is earlier than most. Fan in living room had 1 speed and it was too aggressive and controller wouldn't allow us to lower speed. Outdoor motion sensor light kept going off many times outside the bedroom waking us. Thanks for letting us stay on your property. We try and treat your house like our own.

Enjoyed this home. The location was great! Loved the fire pit outside. Definitely enjoyed the deer and guinea's that hung around. The issue I did have was that the bedroom/laundry room smelled badly of mold because of the washing machine. I did call and talk to someone about this and was told it was the well water. Once we purchased cleaner ourselves and cleaned it 3 times the smell was tolerable. But we could not use the room. It was definitely inconvenient. The bathroom rugs and shower curtain in the master bedroom definitely needed to be washed. And the whole house could have used a good mopping. Other than this I would recommend this house. Thank you So for these reasons I gave a rating of 4.

The location was great, close to town and easy to find. Very cute on the outside. Loved the grounds and the outdoor areas and hot tub were well done. We would have appreciated better craftmanship on the inside but furnishings made it nice enough. The water pressure was very low in the showers and not enough to wash long hair, but there was a tub that worked. The instructions were good and everything was labeled nicely. Thank you for the stay.
