If I could give zero stars I would. I unfortunately can only upload 8 photos, as I have over 20 showing the state of this so called clean room. This place was not only disgusting but the property manger has zero accountability for his listing. The photos will speak for themselves but the smell was even worse. It smelled like someone previously smoked in the unit or someone actively smokes in a room that is connected to this one. As there are permanent residents that stay here. We tried to open the windows to air out the room from the wet cigarette smell, in addition to spraying air freshener in the room. But opening the window only let more cigarette smell to enter as residents frequently smoke outside. The hot tub was also non functioning and the manager had zero knowledge of it being out of order. If the title of your stay has the word hot tub in it, one would think they would make sure its operational everyday. We reached out to the manager with these concerns and to tell them we cant stay due to the smell hours after checking in and his response was to tell us he had smelled it that morning and it was fine. He didnt even comment on my request for a refund as we never stayed. My advice, stay at a hotel and save your money.

I like the layout of the cottage. Very simple. I loved having a Britta in the fridge and the mini blender. There is a full sized stove/oven and fridge. I missed not having a microwave as I love microwave popcorn in the evening. I appreciated the host's daily e-mail check in to see if we needed anything and being provided a cell number to call for any immediate issues. This cottage and the surrounding areas are very dog friendly. The cottage is barely ½ a block to Prospect Lake (bring your paddleboard). There is a running/walking path and a beach. The cottage is also within walking distance (1 mile) to Memorial Health Central (great location for travel RN’s). I felt relatively safe in this location during the day, but it is noisy at night, and I would have felt safer having a deadbolt on the door. The walls are thinly insulated from noise, and I know this is not an easy issue to resolve. On Monday night the neighbors staying in the cottage to the left were so loud and noisy parting until after 2am. I could easily hear them talking, coughing, throwing up and using the bathroom. Overall, I enjoyed my stay (except for Monday night) and would stay again.
