Guest Access:

Besides two kitchen cabinets and two storage containers, you’ll have full access. These areas are used for property storage.

The Neighborhood:

We are located on a quiet street in the neighborhood of Troy Hill, just 10 mins away from downtown Pittsburgh. There's a park with a baseball field, basketball courts, and splash pad at the end of the block. The neighborhood is on a hill that overlooks all of Pittsburgh.

Getting Around:

There are two streets that allow you to reach the property. The neighborhood is on a hill that overlooks all of Pittsburgh so the area has a few hills to climb. The streets are narrow at times but neighbors are great about ensuring there's room to drive. We don’t have dedicated parking. However, parking is free and you'll always find a spot to park - most of the time it's right in front of the unit. During week nights when everyone returns home from work, you may need to park at the end of the street (15 second walk from the home).

Other Things to Note:

Need baby gear during your stay We’ve got you covered! Rent cribs, car seats, strollers, toys & more. Just send us a message for details!

Rank One Stays offers 24/7 virtual concierge service to support you with check-in, answer questions, and assist you with your needs. We also maintain a dedicated team of local staff, available for any in-person assistance you may require. Please note, we believe in transparent communication so guests know exactly what to expect during their stay. Our in-person team is available between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST) to assist with any issues. However, while we aim to address all concerns as quickly as possible, same-day assistance depends on when we are contacted and team member availability. For example, if a message is received late in the evening (such as 6:30 PM MST), we may not have a team member available to visit the property that night. In that case, we’ll schedule assistance for the following day. The earlier you reach out, the more likely we can resolve the issue the same day. Outside of our general support hours, we have an after-hours answering service that records all messages and can answer common questions. Our team reviews these messages the following morning to ensure any issues are addressed as soon as possible.

We offer two propane refill options:

Propane Refill Service (By Request / Approval – Additional Fee)

Guests can request a propane delivery and installation for a fee. This service is not guaranteed and is best if arranged in advance.

Self-Refill (Reimbursement Available)

Guests may refill propane themselves. We will reimburse up to $30 per full tank per appliance with a valid receipt.

Please note that we provide an additional rollaway twin bed conveniently stored in the closet for your use. This ensures flexibility in sleeping arrangements while maintaining ample space when not in use.

Filtered Water

We provide a refrigerator for your use, but we do not stock filtered water. This is because most standard refrigerator or pitcher filters do not effectively purify the water—they primarily improve taste and odor without removing many contaminants. In our own home, we use reverse osmosis (RO) filtration, which provides a much higher level of water purity. RO systems remove a wide range of impurities, including heavy metals, chlorine, fluoride, and other dissolved solids that basic filters can't. When we travel, we personally purchase reverse osmosis water from the store to ensure we're drinking the cleanest water possible. If high-quality filtered water is important to you, we recommend picking up a few gallons of RO water nearby during your stay.

If you need to clean up a mess we leave some cleaning supplies on site for you. You’ll find a broom, vacuum, and all-purpose cleaner

In order to access the third bedroom, guests will be required to walk through one of the king bedrooms

House is as advertised. The only issue for us was the snow, there was a lot of it. When we got there, the stairs were high with snow and it was hard to get in the house. The host was helpful and had the snow cleared the next morning. Also finding parking was a challenge, because of the snow too. I would stay here again, the house is perfect, clean and well stocked.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable. The weird thing was entering the King BR to enter the upstairs guest room that has daybed/pullout. Additionally, if you don’t like a firm mattress, this may not be the place for you. Beds are nice but very firm. Shower pressure was great! Back porch area could use a good cleaning. Grill has buildup and moldy cushions on furniture. Parking is tight but it works out. Easy to get places. 10 minutes get you just about anywhere! Would definitely stay again.

Troy Hill is an interesting older area with great views of Pittsburgh. It was quiet and it felt safe and friendly. Our very minor concerns were with a neighbor smoking cigarettes occasionally, the kitchen floor which has some damage to the laminate that's a little sharp, and having to learn the hard way that wearing socks on old carpeted stairs can lead to tumbling down them. But all of us loved the spacious modern feel of the house, the convenience to all the fun stuff we wanted to do, walking around the neighborhood (and all those long stairways), and the friendliness of everyone in the neighborhood and Pittsburgh itself. We had high hopes for the whole trip and it all exceeded our expectations. Teens are age 13 and 19 and they were happy the whole time, not an easy thing to accomplish. Pittsburgh was a lot of fun! Loved the Aviary, Warhol Museum, Phipps Conservatory, Carnegie museums, the funicular and boat tour, driving up Rialto Street (yikes!!!), all the food options and interesting neighborhoods. And our day trip to Fallingwater was amazing, what a beautiful place. We would come back, and stay here, again.

We were leery of the area when we arrived at night, but stayed for 4 days and it was fine. The place was small, but nice. Kitchen had everything you needed. There was an upstairs with a bathroom and 2 bedroom. Attic was an additional room with a small bed/couch and foosball table. Downstairs had a pac man arcade, couch, tv, couple chairs, and a table near the front door. Also another toilet room with sink. Cozy place. Washer and Dryer in basement.

This house was exactly what we needed for our family trip to Pittsburgh! It was really spacious, very well maintained, and in a safe, quiet neighborhood. So much charm packed into this townhouse! Bonus perk was the back patio. We enjoyed breakfast there each morning!

Visited The Burgh for a Pirates game and this home was a perfect overnight spot for us. Close to the ballpark, neat & tidy, with comfy beds. What more could you ask for? While parking is tight on the street, it appears that everyone in the neighborhood is courteous and works together to maximize parking opportunities. Easy communication with host made the process seamless.

Pros: Not far from the college we were visit. Townhouse is a vast contrast to the neighborhood. Unit was clean and had what we needed for the night. Good rest with comfortable beds and temperature. Beautiful aesthetics and design choices. Cons: Although half of our party took showers the night before and the other half the day of departure one hour apart, I ended up taking a cold shower at 7 am to start my day, which really upset me in the start of an important day. Also the kitchen floors were damaged prior to our arrival but I didn't feel it was unsafe to walk on. Parking is horrible. We had a Grand Wagoneer and had to gingerly drive down a VERY narrow street. In the evening when we returned we did have to park down the street and around the corner. There may be parking on the weekdays but the weekends was definitely a challenge. Lastly, the orange cushion sleeping area in the attic seemed much larger online but in reality it fits for a toddler or small child rather than a large teenager or adult. Overall: the stay met our needs for one night but I wouldn't have stayed longer. The host was pretty responsive except for the water (which that was early so I get it). He responded afterwards.Once they fix those few issues it would be a good stay.
