Summary:

Discover your mountain escape in this stylish Mt Crested Butte townhouse, ideal for families. This home boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is bathed in sunlight with incredible mountain views. Located in the desirable Pitchfork neighborhood, you'll find easy access to the free bus shuttle. Enjoy the convenience of a heated garage and street parking. With amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, you'll have everything you need for a memorable family vacation. Explore nearby activities like skiing, snowboarding, and the local shops and restaurants.

The Space:

A covered front deck with sunshades offers the perfect spot to kick off your shoes before you've even stepped inside. The main level opens up into a bright, easy-flowing living, kitchen, and dining space—comfortable furniture, a 42 TV, and a kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook up something special or just keep it simple.

Upstairs

Two inviting bedrooms await. The primary suite offers a split king bed (always made up as a king) and a private ensuite with dual sinks and a walk-in shower—a peaceful spot to unwind. The second bedroom charms with a queen bed and soaring vaulted ceilings, just steps from a second bathroom with a tub/shower combo and plenty of room to stash your travel gear.

Comfort in Every Season

Cold mountain nights are no match for the in-floor radiant heat, which keeps every corner toasty. And when summer sun warms things up, the main living floor and both bedrooms each come with their own portable air conditioner—just slide the vent into the window and let the cool air roll in.

Outside

Wander out to a landscaped yard shaded by maturing aspen trees, with a sprinkler system keeping everything lush. Fire up the gas grill on the rear deck for a summer or fall evening under the mountain sky.

FOR ALL OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS: get ready for adventure in the heated garage that is outfitted with benches, ski, boot, and bike storage along with a 24 port Gear Dryer. Conveniently dry your boots, gloves, helmets, hiking boots, bike shoes etc. and get back outdoors dry and comfortable. Please store all gear in the heated garage and please don’t wear ski boots on the deck or in the house.

This property is monitored by a security camera with audio and video.

PARKING OVERVIEW:

Parking in the Pitchfork neighborhood can be limited. Street parking is not assigned. In the summer, street parking is allowed on both sides. In the winter, street parking is allowed on only one side. If visiting in the winter, it is highly recommended that you bring one car and park in the heated garage as street parking will be very limited.

You will have access to the entire heated garage but will be able to park in one only space. The other space is for securely storing bikes, ski gear, etc. The garage door is 90 inches wide by 93 inches high. The length of a car in the garage cannot exceed 205 inches. Your vehicle must fit inside with the garage door closed or pipes in the walls can freeze and damage the boiler/heating system if left open.

Access to the garage is via the common driveway between the property and another building which requires a 3-point turn to enter the garage. Large SUV’s (GMC Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade, etc) and large pickup trucks will not be able to make the turn and will need to park on the street. Medium sized SUV’s such as a Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Murano, Toyota 4Runner will fit but ensure your vehicle meets the dimensions if you have larger tires or a roof carrier.

If your vehicle does not fit in the garage or you need additional parking, you have access to one space on the streets of Pitchfork. Always make sure you are reading the signs to ensure you are parking in a legal space.

All of our kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, cookware and utensils. While most properties have salt, pepper, and basic cooking pantry items, we do not guarantee these will be available upon arrival.

This is a pet friendly property. You are welcome to bring one dog and will be charged a separate pet fee at the time of booking.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:

Renters 25 years and older are welcome. Please note that we do count all children and infants in the headcount for the property.

Mt Crested Butte STR License #306468 For emergency contact/Local Representative contact information, go to the Town of Mt. Crested Butte website and navigate to the Short-Term Rental page. Please note that our company does have a separate rental policy that will be emailed to you immediately after booking and this will need to be signed by you. If you wish to see it prior to booking, just send us an email.

Warning, snow and ice slides from the roof with great force. Watch out for roof slides and icy surfaces/steps when outside. Do not play or stand under descending roof lines while outside. Major slide areas exist on all sides of the house. Be especially vigilant when on the driveway in front of the deck and house. You need to monitor yourselves, children and pets when outside. Stay aware. As a courtesy, this home is included on a driveway snowplow and shovel route where the snow gets cleared when at least 4 inches has fallen. Due to staffing issues, the HOA plow and shovel crews can take time to get to the property. If they don’t arrive by the time you are ready to leave the home, it is recommended you clear the deck and the stairs with the provided shovel and broom.

The Neighborhood:

The Pitchfork neighborhood is a nice mix of local and 2nd homeowners. There is a shuttle stop at the turnaround as you pull into the subdivision and is easy to access in about 30 seconds from this property, by foot.

Getting Around:

Keep your car in the heated garage and head to the bus stop that is two doors down. The bus will whisk you down to town or up to the mountain resort. The mountain resort, hiking and biking trails are just minutes away. Hop right on the recreation path, just outside of the subdivision, and be on many of the popular trails within minutes – Snodgrass, Lupine, Upper Upper, etc. You can even ride your bike (or walk) to town and take the bus home!

This was a great location with very easy access to Vail Resort for skiing. The bus stop is close by, making it simple and convenient to get to the mountain. The property was very clean, and the check-in and check-out process was super easy. We just wished we had more snow but otherwise the stay was great.

2nd time at this fantastic location in Mt CB. Mere steps to the bus that takes you right to the slopes. Comfortable beds, very nice kitchen setup with greats pans and knives. Quiet neighborhood. I’m sure we will come back yet again!

The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. We enjoyed the view of Mt. Crested Butte. The bathrooms were nicely done. One only comment we had was in the master bath, the plastic runner for shower door needs to be adjusted because it does leak on the floor some.

What a great place. Very nicely finished. Cozy but plenty of room for 4 adults. Everything was very well stocked from kitchen to bath - one of the best we have ever stayed in. Fantastic location with the shuttle bus just outside the door. Great gear storage setup in the garage. Excellent and responsive communication. We will definitely be back!

The Horeshoe Haven condo was great. Easy access to the ski resort and trips into town via a shuttle which stopped right outside the condo. I would recommend staying there!

We had a fabulous stay for Thanksgiving! Treating our daughter and new son in law to a first snow skiing trip to Crested Butte. Snow and sunshine was everywhere. This condo is fabulous. Location is perfect for riding the bus to the slopes, or riding to town. Very cute and cozy.
