Stayed Feb 6, 2026Jay the host was wonderful and had excellent communication! This place is as advertised and our stay was amazing! Everything about this house was great, from the views to the kitchen. We made some great food and memories here. We are planning on coming back this summer.

Stayed Sep 22, 2025The home was clean, well furnished, and the kitchen was well appointed and fully functional. Good communication with host. Great view as advertised, we saw sea lions and otters off the deck, as well as a variety of birds including a bald eagle who lives nearby. We had to improvise on our original plans as the closest entrance to Olympic National Park (Staircase) was closed due to the Bear Gulch Fire. Instead, we visited nearby state parks (nice trails at Lake Isabella State Park). We also loved Hama Hama Oyster Farm & Store. Get a dozen oysters in a bucket from the store and shuck them yourselves on site. Overall, a perfect low-key place to stay along the Hood Canal.

Stayed Aug 17, 2025We fell in love with Jay's home (and Hood Canal!) the first time we visited and this was our third stay. Every time we stay somewhere else we compare it to this property. It's great to have multiple kayaks and row boats to use. Everyone in our family gets out on the water (ages range from 11-85!). Jay's a wonderful host, too...great communication, extra touches that make your stay easy and feel like a cozy home, and very accommodating. We'll be back! Thanks!

Stayed Jun 6, 20252nd stay and was just as relaxing as the first time. My 5 year old loves this spot. We love going down to the water to look for rocks (we have a rock tumbler). We love watching the seals, and this stay, we got to see Orcas! It was amazing. It is so quaint and peaceful. The window from the loft has the most spectacular view. It is Exactly what you would need for a relaxing getaway. We have taken the boats out both times, but have not used the kayaks. They are a great bonus!

Stayed Jan 10, 2025This is a stunner property. Everything is there for u to enjoy. We even locked ourselves out and the owner came and kindly unlocked the house for us. The view and accomodations were outstanding and we will for sure be back! Our only recommendation is bring slippers because the main floor has cement floors that are beautiful but cold on bare feet.

Stayed Nov 8, 2024From the quality of the home to the stunning views of the water, you can’t pass up the opportunity to stay here! Views abound from every vantage point. Kids will love the pea gravel beach and lots of entertainment options with row boats, kayaks, and swimming when it’s warm. We can’t say enough about this wonderful place! As with most waterfront homes this is tucked up next to the neighbors but zero noise pollution and/or highway noise.
