Hometown Hideaway, Walk to Main St, Starkville

The location was convenient to the college and to restaurants. Great option for our family of four.

The home was clean except that there was a dead roach in the front room when we arrived. We had an ongoing fight with ants in the kitchen - would be nice if the host could work on that problem. We did not have body wash in either bathroom and it took a couple of days to have some delivered - lucky for us we had family in town who gave us enough to make it through the first couple of days.The property was a bit tricky to find - it is behind the management building - we went in there to ask and they did not know about our rerservation and it took us describing what we were looking for before they told us it could be the house behind them - that is when we found the correct house number and verified that we had found our rental. If we had arrived after they had closed or at night I am not sure we would have found the house.The house met our needs very nicely and I would not hesitate to rent it again if these little problems are corrected.

Loved being able to have our dog with us and the location was minutes from my daughter who is in vet school at Mississippi State

Great location, close to downtown and the University. Hideaway is great name for it! Tucked in behind a real estate office, liked the privacy from other homes!

We enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Communication with host was excellent. Thank you for the great experience. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great home to stay in while coming to Starkville for whatever brings you to this wonderful little town. Very cozy and welcoming.

This stay as top-notch on our list. It is in the heart of downtown and super convenient to restaurants and MSU. It was surprisingly quiet and restful. The property was on the back side of a realtor’s office, so it was a little strange when we pulled up. However, there is a drive down the side and the property is well-lit and easily accessible. Yard had plenty of green areas to walk the pup. Home was spacious and had more than ample room for us to spread out. It was useful to have both a walk-in shower and bath. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed provided. Furnishings were crisp and clean. A few items were showing wear (coffee table), but it in no way took away from the functionality. We will definitely re-visit this convenient property on future trips!
