Stayed Aug 9, 2025It needs to be made abundantly clear— this is not a “cozy private room and bathroom” as advertised. You are renting a bedroom in someone’s residence and have access to the shared bathroom across the hall, which also meant staying in the daily mess and untidiness of the usual family home. I was awoken by the noise of the family and their young children in the night and in the morning. Anyone could have access to your key and your room with no security from within and the home is half of a duplex in an extremely busy neighborhood. This stay was barely a step above renting a cot in a hostel, and I was so uncomfortable after the first night I was willing to forego any chance of getting my money back and got a hotel for the rest of my stay just to feel comfortable again. Even with trip insurance, I couldn’t get my money back, but honestly no price is worth constantly feeling uneasy where you rest your head.
