Stayed Jun 15, 2025This place is an absolute dump and it’s no where near the parks. There was dirt in the tub when we arrived, the carpet had stains and everything was worn down and chipped or broken. It took us 46 min to get to Disney the first day. It was 85 degrees inside when we arrived but I wasn’t allowed to turn the temp below 70 so we were sweltering the whole night. We were so disgusted with this place we left after the first night.

Stayed Sep 9, 2024We had a great stay at Home on the Banks! The location is convenient to the Shad Street beach access that has a parking lot that we used easily because we were here in September after the main season. The community trolly stopped running before our week, so we drove down and back for convenience. The beach was not crowded and the water was beautiful! The unit is nicely equipped and decorated as the pictures show. We had one minor issue with some outside areas that needed additional attention from the cleaning/maintenance team. I texted the management company and they sent someone over to take care of the items. He was really nice and did a great job and was very pleasant. We used the grill and cooked in the kitchen and found what we needed. There are a variety of restaurants nearby and we balanced eating in and out. We used the community pickleball courts frequently and they are easy to reserve and free. The ones by the beach are in better condition than the other ones, unless they fix them this winter. It was a bit chilly for the pool but we visited them and they were nice with lots of places to sit. The indoor facilities also were nice, although we didn’t need to use them. We visited the horses on a tour and had a great experience. We walked to Currituck Lighthouse from the unit and recommend visiting Kind Cup for coffee and island photos and gifts. If you are looking for a good location in Corolla, I would recommend this place.

Stayed Jul 8, 2024The home is more spacious than it appears from the outside and the layout is perfect for families. The downstairs rec room with foosball table and fridge/sink was great for snacks and drinks for our grandkids. All the bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The great room had lovely beachy decor and plenty of seating for everyone for our seafood feast. The place was spotless and there was ample parking for our 2 SUVs. It’s about a block to public beach access with parking, or easy to hop on the trolley to the main resort pools and walkway to the beach. We had a great time and definitely would book this house again in the future.

Stayed Jun 3, 2024Overall, we loved our experience and would rent at this location again. Communication was a little slow and some of the questions we had (such as WIFI name and password) could be taken care of by posting that somewhere within the house. Only other suggestion is to put the kitchen items for guest use in the upstairs kitchen instead of in the entry floor countertop. We didn't use that space so didn't think to look there and did not notice until our last day. We will be back and hope to stay there again!

Stayed Nov 22, 2023We were in the Beacon villas for the 4th time, during the Thanksgiving holidays, and the unit was just as wonderful as we expected. It’s roomy, light, beautiful open floor plan, but still cozy and inviting.

Stayed Jul 18, 2023overall, very nice property. the inside is very clean. bed mattresses are only a couple of inches thick and not particularly comfortable. the outside spaces (grille, deck, hot tub) are pretty gross - mostly covered in dead bugs and cobwebs. however, the inside was great, and it was too hot to stay out there for long any way. very quick drive or walk to the public beach parking which always seemed to have spots open.

Stayed Jul 16, 2022We loved our stay here! The location was a quick walk to the beach, a quick walk to the trolley(which our kids loved!), and easy enough to get to and from anywhere else within just a few minutes! The house was clean and spacious and perfect for our group, we would definitely stay again.
