Home just steps to BEACH! Private pool and spa - Sign of the Mermaid

Location and walking distance to beach was wonderful! Pool area was great and kept the kids and adults entertained. The home had most things you look for in a vacation home the only things missing for us was some board games, beach toys and (more) chairs & umbrellas. They only provide 4 beach chairs but they do have a wagon. Overall a great stay.

We loved everything about the property including the location. The only negatives was the lack of essentials such as dishwasher pods (2 for a 5 night stay), paper towels (1 roll), TP (2 per bathroom), soap (no hand soap in kitchen and only a small bar in bathroom), no laundry pods, teaspoon size salt/pepper. Need to bring everything!! The beach chairs were also not in great shape (one was broken). AC is locked at 72 degrees (not able to go lower).Enjoyed the house overall (good layout and clean). Would stay here again.

One of the biggest highlights is the location: the beach is just a 5-minute walk away and it feels almost like a private beach—very शत and not crowded. We enjoyed our stay at Sign of the Mermaid. We were able to walk down our street to the Gulf side beach, but we also rented bikes and a golf cart nearby at Robinhood Rentals to sightsee around the island. We enjoyed the Bay side beach just as much and it wasn’t as crowded. Each day we spent some time in the pool and spa. There was a great book that showed us how to use the controls on everything and the rental company called a few times to see if we needed anything. The beds were comfortable and everything we used worked well. The checkout process was simple. This was a far larger property than we needed, but we selected it for the location. You have to be able to do steps, so it would be difficult if someone in your group struggles with that. I would recommend this property and AMI locals rental company to others.

The house was great — spacious, modern, and very comfortable for our family. We really enjoyed how inviting it felt and had a wonderful time overall.The only downsides were the hot tub shutting off after 9 PM (something that was not disclosed anywhere) and the upstairs thermostat being stuck at 71. Management sent people to look at both issues, but they weren’t fixed during our stay. Not a dealbreaker, but a little inconvenient for the price.Otherwise, it’s a beautiful home and we’d recommend it with just those small caveats.

Excellent service, beautiful home, incredible beach, town, quick and convenient beach access. Could not have asked for a better week. We left some very large seafood boiling pots, a four-square volleyball set, and beach paddle ball set that hopefully some future guests can enjoy. Too big to fly home with :-). Great location and nice quiet street. We had a great experience in this home. Pool area is beautiful. Minimal kitchen items if you like to cook on vacation. A few things: Beach equipment is very rusted and minimal. A house that sleeps 12 with 4 bedrooms with 4 king size beds should have more chairs than 5. Beach wagon is very old too. A full length mirror somewhere in the house would be great! More garbage bags would be great than just 4.

We had a wonderful time at this property. There were 8 adults and this home was perfect for us. Location is outstanding. It was so nice having the pool and and Jacuzzi when the weather wasn't going our way. You will need to rent some beach chairs and umbrellas, the chairs that were provided had seen better days and a couple were broken. Other then that it was everything that was stated on the website. The property management company was incredible with response to any little question we had.

The house fit our family perfectly, the number of bathrooms was great. The common areas were very nice and the kitchen was stocked properly. We really enjoyed the outdoor space and loved being so close to the beach.

Really loved this house and it worked out great for our group of 7. We didn’t use the bunk beds so you could definitely sleep more. All the bedrooms were spacious and clean. The pool was beautiful. The main downside was the alarm on the back door. You have to push a button every time you want to open the door or a very loud alarm will sound. And if you don’t close it quickly after, it will also set the alarm. Wish there was a way to disable it if you don’t have any kids with you. The house is also stocked with very little, so make sure to bring lots of things. No pool floaties, spices, salt and pepper, and lots of common kitchen items. Also wish there was a bathroom downstairs or outdoor stairs so you didn’t have to run inside and up the slick tile steps to use the bathroom, but maybe that’s a future project.
