Enjoy all that Deadwood and the Black Hills have to offer from this location! The Mickelson Trail is just across the street. Jump on the trail for a walk, run, or bike ride. There is also a trolley stop just a 2 min walk down the road - hop on the trolley and enjoy the old west feel of the city of Deadwood. There is also easy access to snowmobile trails and you are close to ski areas.
The space
This 3-bedroom home is fully furnished with three queen-sized beds and all linens. There aretwo bedrooms and a full bath on the main floor, and one bedroom with a 3/4 bath in the loft. You will be able to enjoy off-street parking and free WIFI. The kitchen is fully outfitted with all the pots, pans, dishes, silverware, dish towels, paper towels etc that you should need. We also have a crockpot, coffee pot (with coffee and filters), blender, electric can opener, and toaster. We furnish all paper products, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels, plus there is a blow dryer in each bathroom. The washer and dryer on the main floor are available for your use, and we supply detergent. There is a BBQ grill, a large picnic table, a fire pit, and plenty of outdoor seating. If you are motorcycle enthusiasts, there are even clean rags for you to use on your bikes. If you are visiting in the winter, there are miles of snowmobile trails in the area, and you can enjoy downhill skiing. The Mickelson Trail, which is a great walking or biking trail, runs along beside the creek in this section, and it is a beautiful setting! There are only two homes on Cliff St., and the back yards border Forest Service land, so watch for deer on the hillside! From here, you can venture out in all directions to take in our beautiful Black Hills and Badlands. We will have SD Vacation Guides, Black Hills and Badlands maps, and other brochures in the house for your use. Or you can walk across the street to the Pluma building where there is more information.
We hope you will book with us and enjoy Deadwood and our beautiful Black Hills. We would welcome you as our guests.
Guest access
The small road / driveway up to the house are shared with another house but the parking area, yard, and full house are for guest use only. These are not shared spaces.

The closest trolley stop is the Buffalo Thunder Lodge stop, just around the corner toward downtown Deadwood, about 1200ft. The Trolley schedule states that the trolley should arrive about 38 minutes past the hour but take this with a grain of salt. Delays may be caused by weather, traffic, construction, etc. You can track the exact location of the trolley on the Deadwood Trolley Tracker on cityofdeadwood.com. The cost of the trolley is $2.00 per ride.

Please note: The home is heated with an in-floor radiant system powered by an instant hot water heater. During colder months you may hear the system cycling on/off as it draws on the instant hot water heater, particularly at night. This is normal and necessary to maintain warmth in winter, but if you're sensitive to noises, please take note of this.

Only complaint was a loud pump that kept cycling off and on. Obnoxious noise that kept us awake every night of our stay

We really enjoyed this comfortable and clean stay. I also like that it was not in the heart of deadwood as we aren’t into gambling. Had no problems with check-in and communication with the owner went very well. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone visiting the Black Hills area.

This was a very nice house. We liked the location it was spot on for us. Parking was nice because it was a bit hidden and we could park our pickups x2 trailers x2 and side by sides x2 and just the perfect amount of space and wasn’t worried that people were going to mess with them! Close to the action for concert and gambling!! We enjoyed our stay!!

This property was perfect for our stay. When we arrived at 7pm the cleaners had not finished, but I contacted the owner and she had them come back (not sure the reason they had not finished) they finished and we got our cleaning fee refunded which was very nice. I would stay here again.

The location was conveniently located near the Mickelson Trail but further from the city center than we expected. Size of home was perfect for our family. Housekeeping lacked in a few areas such as under sofas, sofa cushions, and washer. Towels smelled musty. The sound of the water every time we flushed or turned on the sink in the bathroom was loud and unexpected. As well as the location of the house. I had to refer to your email for the driving instructions since we arrived late. The driveway was hard to find in the dark. Otherwise, We thoroughly enjoyed Deadwood!

The property was clean and spacious. We had 5 in our group and stayed two nights. It was a cold weekend, and the only criticism we had was the house was at 60 degrees when we arrived. It has in-floor heating so it took quite a while to get heated up to 72. Otherwise there was nothing that we didn't have negative against the property. We will stay again.

The property was well maintained, comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay. The available parking area is deceptively small, based on the pictures, as we had several vehicles. If you only have a couple, it would be fine. The neighbor sharing the parking is not nice. The host is pleasant and responsive. not nice.

The home was very nice and worked out well for us. It is on the end of Deadwood near Lead which can be convenient for several good rides. The only drawback is getting to downtown at night time. There is a trolley stop within a walkable distance but the trolley arrivals are sporadic so it can be time consuming... and they have earlier closing hours on week nights. Nevertheless, there were 3 couples that stayed and we all had a great time.

Having a whole house for two senior couples was perfect. The fact that we each had a comfortable queen bed and our own bathrooms, made it easy to be ready to go out the door at the same time.

This property was everything the listing says it is. Even with it being close to a busy Deadwood street, it was quiet and secluded, yet a beautiful view of Mickelson Trail and the scenery. The property owner was quick to reply back with a couple questions I had during our stay. I will stay here again!

Kid free weekend friend get away - this was a good location, close to Deadwood downtown and the UTV trails. Easy access. Wish the business neighbors kept thier property up a bit more for better curb appeal. However, having the Chubby Chipmunk gormet chocolates as a neighbor is not a bad thing! The property owners were very nice to deal with and accomodating. Very prompt and attentive to all issues/needs.
