The house and property were fantastic, with plenty of activities to enjoy without ever leaving. Our group continues to grow each year, and the size of the home accommodated everyone comfortably. The location couldn’t have been better, close to the ski resort, with the shuttle conveniently picking us up right at the front door. We’d love to come back and experience the property during the summer as well.

The view outside the large windows was spectacular. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The location right across the highway from Purgatory ski resort was very convenient. We did have an issue with no hot pads or kitchen dish towels in kitchen which required several phone calls to correct. Plus the oven stopped working, but they sent a repairman right away and fixed the problem. ***( We discovered a couple days later the missing dish towels that were left in the washing machine by maids. We washed them again, as they smelled bad after sitting in washing machine for who knows how long.)

Our family had a wonderful week long vacation and loved the location, amenities, and beautiful views from the windows! We used the grill a couple nights, made chocolate chip cookies, and used the pool in purgatory village a couple of days. Perfect place to use as home base for all the attractions- rafting’s, mine tour, Silverton, and Durango.. Highly recommend

Our stay started a little rough. The dryer was non-functional, the back doors could not be locked, and the internet service was sporadic, requiring the Durango Utility Department to make a trip to the home to try to fix it. Each took away from the enjoyment of the stay. The home could have been cleaned more, especially on the floors, windows, outdoor patio, and furniture. This is a pet-friendly home, and that is understood, but I had to wash a few blankets due to pet urine and hair. My communication with VRC was quick and responsive, and they fulfilled their promise to ensure I was satisfied with my stay. VRC provided effective customer service. I would stay at this home again because the location is beautiful with Twilight Lake, but I would like not to have to clean the house upon arrival.

The location and on-demand shuttle service makes this neighborhood top our list in the past 4 years. This property is as advertised, well decorated and equipped with plenty of kitchen items and great bathroom products. However there was tons of hair all throughout the house (not sure if it was human or animal). The bathtub in the master bath had not been cleaned in some time and some minor repairs are needed (kitchen faucet leaks/shoots water everywhere when pulled out, hair dryer not working, outside furniture broken, etc). All pretty minor.I would have given this property a 4/5 or even a 4.5/out of 5 but the property management company was by far the worst I've experienced in nearly 80 stays between Air BnB and VRBO. 1. They utilize some sort of texting service that is either AI generated or 3rd party from another country (non English). 2. When you call the help number, you are greeted by someone that is less than happy to take your phone call. I don't want much from a host or host company- but basic information requests that should have been delineated in a pre-stay email should be happily answered- not met with rudeness. 3. There was no instructions on how the house should be left, no booklet, no communication via email or text. I had to ask for these and was provided an AI generated list via text an hour before checkout AFTER requesting. 4. Having a simple email with need to know information would have been helpful. The Durango Collective (VRC) are clearly more interested in their own branding than actually management. 5. The live or maybe local person didn't communicate with the text AI bot and questions weren't answered.Overall, I hope the ownership of the property can find a different property management company as the property was well suited our two families and the location is the absolute best.

It was the perfect accommodation for all of us. We would rent the house again. The location was perfect for skiing at Purgatory. As a bonus, we think the house must have the best view of Engineer mountain in the neighborhood!
