Hollywood Hills/Laurel Canyon - Wonderful Laurel Canyon Home

What a wonderful place and a wonderful host! Stephen is a great host, and his place is really nice. We had a great, relaxing and comfortable stay. We greatly appreciated Stephen’s prompt communication regarding our stay, and his responsiveness if we had questions or needed anything. He made us feel very welcome.

It was an absolutely pleasure to meet Stephen and stay at his very cute home in Laurel Canyon. The apartment was separate and very private. It have everything you need to make your stay in LA the most pleasurable. Private entrance, quiet, peaceful and clean. WiFi, netflix, comfortable bed, relaxing backyard area. We could not have asked for a better location or stay for our trip to LA. We will definitely be staying here again. We highly recommend staying here!

This is a super little place if you want to explore Laurel Canyon and LA. Situated up in hills you are in a idilic location. The place has a great outside space with a gas fire and tables and chairs. Inside the lounge, kitchen area and bedroom are perfect! The bathroom is modern and clean too. Me and my son stayed for 5 nights and couldn’t have wished for more. Stephen the host was also very helpful, sending information about hikes, restaurants and other places of interest ti visit. We will definitely be back! Peace

The host provided a great Welcome Guide prior to check-in and off-street parking in Laurel Canyon is a huge plus. We visited during an exceptionally hot week and Stephen went out of his way to be sure we were comfortable.

Every bit as funky as the hills that surround it. It’s not traditional - to say the least - but it was fun and charming with a tropical feel. The host was very quick to answer questions and make accommodations. Overall a great experience.

It was awesome the vibes were really cool. It was raining yet we still enjoyed the patio. Also the hosts were very friendly and cooperative.

Cute property an easy drive from Sunset but feels miles away in wooded area. A little hard to find in dark based on description. Host was super helpful and very responsive. Property was comfortable and had coffee and snacks which was great! I would recommend individual creamer and sugar for sanitary reasons. Also, the baseboards, floors and ceiling could use a good dusting. It’s a wooded area so, cobwebs and bugs are a given. I would recommend as the location is easy access to everything in Hollywood area and price is great for area. Quiet and relaxing. The Italian place at the bottom of the hill (under the local market) looked awesome but we didn’t get a chance to eat there as we had already eaten dinner when we went in to grabs drinks at the bar.

The location was fantastic. It is close to many coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, and Mulholland drive. It has onsite parking. The house is really nice, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had everything you could need if you forgot anything or choose to travel light. The living room has good seating with a TV, if your in early enough to watch it. The kitchenette is well appointed with coffee, tea, and breakfast items. The host was very nice and accommodating, one of our party arrived early in the day and he let them check in early. I would love to stay there next time I’m back in LA.

The hosts, the great bed, and the even better shower! This is a must return to property!Steve was extremely patient with our evidently subpar Boomer technology! Although clearly marked, we couldn’t find the entry gate! Once inside However, we felt calm, at peace, and very much grateful to experience the canyon vibes!

We enjoyed our stay. Stephen is a great host, very helpful and even left a few snacks out for our arrival. Probably best to arrive before dark as the hills are steep and the roads are narrow and cell reception is spotty.Having a parking spot is nice, much better than being on the street. Plenty of space for myself and 2 teen sons using the provided air mattresses (the thick 18 ones) and bedding. Shower & bathroom are very nice with lots of hot water. Hope to be back again!

We loved our stay in this adorable cottage. It was in a great location and was perfect for what we needed. The host was a gem!

Place was well located and easy to get in and out of but was quite dated, had a musty smell to it, and a bunch of cobwebs throughout. The listing was very inaccurate as it claimed to be a two bedroom house and claimed to have two beds. In fact it is a loft with a queen bed and a lower floor with a couch and then a folding cot that can be made into a bed. I’m sorry but a cot and a sofa are not beds. Was really hot on arrival and we had to request the AC be turned on as this listing is part of the owner’s house and they are the only ones able to control it. My understanding was this was a standalone unit and not a shared home and I booked through VRBO to have that extra level of privacy. To me, that’s a major misrepresentation of this listing as I confirmed with VRBO that rentals are supposed to standalone through their service. Having said all of the above, the owner is really nice and attentive but this rental didn’t meet my expectations. Would be a fine spot for a couple but a bit cramped for two friends not sharing a bed.

We had an amazing time enjoying the beauty and energy of Laurel Canyon while seeing Neil Young at the Hollywood Bowl. It was the perfect spot for our long weekend. Once we got used to driving the tight corners of the neighborhood, we found the location to be incredibly convenient to everything we wanted to do while we were in LA. Las Feliz, downtown, Silver Lake, Melrose, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood - everything was a short drive which is saying a lot for LA. Even with all of those wonderful assets, the best part of this property is the hospitality and responsiveness of our host, Stephen. Stephen anticipated our needs from the time we booked his place to after we checked out. His attention to detail and thoughtful consideration warrants a review higher than 5 stars. Bravo and thank you Stephen!

This spot is very unique, quiet, and comfortable. The host Stephen went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, was always quick to respond via text, and offered great advice/recommendations on to-dos in the area. Just a 7 minute Uber/Lyft ride to the Sunset strip and neighboring restaurants & bars, was a big plus for us! We enjoyed the outdoor patio, comfy bed, & oversized bathroom (great shower temperature & water pressure)!

We absolutely loved this rustic little spot on the hill, close to so many activities and tucked away in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. Stephen was a wonderful host. Would love to stay again!A couple of things that might be helpful for those traveling with kids: there is no kitchen sink and no door to the one upstairs bedroom. But we would stay here again in a heartbeat Thank you for everything, Stephen!

Great place to retreat and relax. Owner was very easy and accommodating to work with. We loved the patio in the cool mornings and enjoyed the fire pit the evening we stayed in.

The location of the property was indescribable! It was close enough that city things weren't a long drive but tucked away in the mountains to where there was noise. The house was perfectly clean and the host was excellent at communicating and ensuring that everything was well

We had a fantastic time staying in Stephen’s place. He is an incredibly helpful and attentive host, and the location was spot on for us. We wanted to immerse ourselves in the musical history of the canyon. We could not have picked a better place!

The area is great of course because you can drive anywhere, close to a lot. There aren’t any curtains on the massive windows so when the sun is up, I guess so are you. The blankets and pillows, the extra beds and such were a nice touch. There are kitchen items like a microwave and fridge but there is only one sink, in the bathroom. The space is a converted basement or something, attached to the main home. The communication was there if we did need anything. I would stay for location but the space itself is not “cozy” or vacation like. For traveling professionals this would be great

Nice and quiet neighborhood. Parking in the driveway. Fairly roomy . Nice hosts - all pluses . Not equipped with a real kitchen but fine for making toast and coffee- refrigerator as well . A bit of a twisty narrow road to get there but this is Laurel Canyon and this place really has the flavor . Glad we stayed here on this trip .

We had a wonderful week in the Laurel Canyon home. The house is very cosy and Stephen is a very attentive and always accomodating host who looks after his guests and gladly provides tips and recommendations for places and views. It took us some time to realize how near this place is to the Universal and Warner Brother Studios and to Hollywood/Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills, the Walk of Fame and so on. And the entire Laurel Canyon (at least in April) looks and smells like a Botanical Garden, with lots of large trees, shrubs and flowers, even if most of these are in the private gardens of the surrounding neighborhood and are only be partly visible. I can recommend this home wholeheartedly.

This was a great find! We have traveled out to LA to visit family the past four years. We always stay at a VRBO and this one was everything we needed. Great location, rustic, comfortable and private. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. You are close to everything.

Great spot in a great location

Super beautiful property at the top of Laurel Canyon. Wonderful host in a perfectly sized apartment in the back of a home. I am consistently in the Los Angeles area and this central location is perfect for my needs. I believe the host, Stephen, is very intuitive in the needs of his guests. I did worry that my ins and outs being at early morning and late night, at times may have been inconvenient to my host but am grateful for the stay.

Overall we had a nice visit and stay. Stephen is a great host. He was very friendly and helpful. The space is quiet and in a great location for easy access to things.

Host Stephen is a great person, friendly and empathetic. He makes sure guest runs into no trouble. Accommodation is suffice for 3 adults, has enough linen and beds. Rooms have the Hollywood atmosphere.Not very far from Universal Studios, roughly 6miles.Have good dining spots close by (Sunset Plaza)Travellers must have a car to commute as this property is on the hill.

The property is adorable, we felt like we were in a tree house. Laurel canyon is so cute and quiet and it was great that we had our own parking spot. Location was close to everything and yet felt like a hidden hippie dreamland. Host was great. Very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay here! The host was super accommodating to all our needs and very attentive to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Perfect, quiet escape from the busy downtown area yet a quick drive to the Blvd. Would love to stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Top location in Los Angeles! Owner was extremely pleasant and helpful, went 110%. Property was beautiful and totally private. No traffic or airplane noise. Two level, patio and fire pit. Price was very reasonable considering the location. Highly recommended!

The location is perfect, wonderful communication and everything was as described. this was my first “non-hotel” type of stay and wasnt sure what to expect, but experience was seamless. Notes to be aware: 1. while there are no neighbors to look in and is private, the wide open windows and loft without curtains doesnt provide much *illusion* of privacy. it feels very open and exposed. its a nice feature but took some getting used to. 2. there is a shared-wall so there is occasional noise/conversation heard from the host house. nothing any city or apartment dweller should find surprising

Very nice, clean place that is close to all the LA action but far enough away to feel peace and relaxation. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and recommend this place for a couple visiting LA.
