Holiday house at 800m from the beach in De Haan

Perfect Location, well equipped and clean!!!

We had a wonderful stay. The hostess, Régine, is very warm and welcoming. The house is very well equipped, especially for families with little ones. The two adult bikes (each with a child seat) were in great condition (we did bring a helmet for our toddler). The kitchen has everything except spices and paper towels. We also brought laundry detergent, sheets, towels, and TP. Less than 10 minute walk to beach. Lots of nice walking and bike trails close by, plus a convenient mini-grocer. Yard has two sun beds and dining. We look forward to returning!

This is a lovely house/accommodation in an excellent location. 10 mins from Oostende, 25 mins from Briggs, 35 mins from Sluis. House was warm with fire, plenty of TV channels including BBC 1 and 2. Plenty of other Belgium channels were also in English with subtitles. Handy for the kids. Bedrooms upstairs have gates on the doors, also handy for toddlers. The area is a group of similar housing inside a complex, behind a barrier. About 1km from the beach. Remember to take your own bedding covers and towels etc. The bedding didn't really fit with European vs UK style but it was fine. I'd suggest a king size bed sheet for the double here. Would happily go back here again. Regine was lovely too!

Simply excellent! The house was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. There were 4 adults and one teenager and we had plenty of room. Regine was such a lovely lady and the house is a credit to her. Beds were very comfy which always helps! Location was excellent - perfect for the beach and the coastal tram. Thank you Regine and family for letting us stay in your house. We are very grateful ....

From the moment we arrived Regine made us feel very welcome. The property was larger than we thought with everything we could possibly want for our stay, I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay here.

We were on holiday for chrismas. We have been very good receved by Regine (in French). Thank a lot. The house was perfect for seven people. It is situated in a nice block, close to the Kusttram and the strand. I recommand it. Nicolas

We spent our Thanksgiving weekend at this wonderful cottage. De Haan is a great little village with all the necessary amenities within a short drive to include Brugge at no more than 15 minutes away. The beach is literally down the street but the best part of this vacation home are the owners. Eric and Regine are some of the nicest people we have met while in Europe. They were more than accommodating, helpful, friendly and just plain nice! Our car battery died early Sunday morning and they came over and gave us a jump. To top it off, my daughter left one sock and a sweater and Eric and Regine sent it to us in Germany...we didn't even know it was missing! I can't recommend this place enough! We would love to return and take full advantage of the beach during the Summer months but we still loved the beach in November. A great price, a great place and a great vacation. By the way, the linens were included. All I had to do was ask and Eric and Regine made sure our stay was perfect.

We had a great stay at this house in De Haan. The owners are very accommodating, and waited hours for us, when we wound up being quite late. The house is extremely clean and everything in good condition. The house is convenient to the beach by car, and for November, we were mostly interested in sightseeing in Brugge and the countryside. It was perfect for this. The house is especially well equiped for children. There are child safety gates at the top of the stairs. The patio is small and fenced and easy to supervise from the kitchen. The outside has children's riding toys, a small bike with training wheels, a plastic slide, and a few other things. These were the highlight of the trip for my 3 year olds! There is also a crib for small children. One thing to note. We often use Homeaway and usually the houses come with linens. This house does not. The owners do not say that it does, but if you are used to other houses from Homeaway you might overlook this (as we did). Be prepared to bring your own towels (including kitchen), sheets, and duvet covers.
