Historic Ybor City 1 Bedroom Golden Hen with HUGE hot tub!

False advertising- hot tub doesn’t work and backyard is a hazard. You’re also sitting in a major construction zone facing the the freeway.

Where do i start?? Check in process was easy got my email before going and that was the easiest part. Now the property itself a whole another story. Outside was not like the pictures at all pictures must’ve been filtered to make it look appealing. We go inside nicely decorated sofa bed was not comfortable at all, fridge didn’t work, water in the shower came ojt looking brownish, yellowed color. The back door was hard to lock up. The backyard was dirty didn’t bother to clean it up. Couldn’t use the hot tub cuz it didn’t look sanitary for me to get in. Our house was doubled booked people came into our house saying that was their rental. The area where the house was located was the ugliest part of town. Soo many things wrong never been dooped in all of my rentals I’ve stayed at but always a 1st time for everything. We had good laughs and had a great time at the concert.

We loved our stay at The Golden Hen! The location was perfect for visiting during the Premier League FanFest at Armature Park and walking around Ybor City! Easy check in and great communication from the hosts. The house is very cute and the bed was sooooo comfy! We would definitely stay here again!

The interior of the house was very clean and well kept, but thats the 1 hood thing. House sits right in front of I-4 so its noisy. the hottub is falling apart and not fie use. The back deck furniture was very dirty.

Air conditioning didn’t work. Just cool air. Water was rusty and unclean. Refrigerator was just cool. Freezer didn’t work at all. Felt unsafe in this area. I think we will think twice about using Vrbo again. This may have been our last time using Vrbo!!!

The A/C worked great! The bed was very comfortable, the tv was big & the house was very clean!

Host was very nice , the house was as advertised however I had inquired about the hot tub prior to my stay due to previous reviews they assured me it would be clean and in working order it was neither of those when we arrived . It was cleaned within 48 hours of check in however more then half the jets did not work and the temp did not go over 92degrees making it colder than bath water not a hot tub, they should not be advertising the hot tub until they get it properly working and need to ensure it is actually clean before people arrive. The hot tub was the main reason we booked this house over another one in the area so this was a let down , the house itself was nice good for a couple that will be out most of the time .

Everything was great - just the right size as half of a duplex. Pretty quiet. Multi head HVAC was a little confusing and bathroom not heated. But there was a portable heater available and I recommend others to just use HVAC in the room you are in and switch the others off. Way easier and more comfortable. Parking east and great location to everything you want to do. Oh - there is a hidden power strip in the bed side table drawer - perfect but had to be discovered.

The instructions from the host were excellent. Property was very centrally located for our Hockey games .GO BOLTS ! Very good floor plan, newer remodel. Great value . Will book again!

Very convenient to downtown. 3 miles. Close to Ybor City restaurant district as well. We happened to be in town during a cold snap but the heating worked well and the space heater in the bathroom warmed the space well. Didn’t try the hot tub. Clean too.

Didn’t receive check in information or access code. Had to contact VRBO to get the information from host. Property is in very rough condition, not like photos provided. I have photos that can be compared to photos in listing.

The house is very cute and clean. Great walking distance to Ybor Historic District. The host is very helpful :)

The property was not the same as the picture representation . It was a slum , bars on the windows which were not in the pictures , the yard was a mess , back stairs were broken , spa cover was sunk in the half filled spa and the water was green . I took pictures of this slum disaster and already filled a dispute . Communication was terrible . I will never use vrbo again

Clean and Comfortable. The neighborhood was not bad but not that great. Accessible to all local attractions. Hot tub and back yard could use some repair. The property was suitable for a weekend couples getaway But, not large enough to entertain guests. Since, the property was clean and located near local attractions , I would consider booking this property again.
