Property is clean and cozy with a rustic charm. Location is excellent. Within a comfortable walking distance to Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, USS Midway, Petco and Convention Centre. Was also able to comfortably walk back from Balboa park. Area can be noisy at night as able to hear street traffic, both car and pedestrian. There are homeless individuals around the area however there were no security issues. Would be nice to have some sitting stools in kitchen area as there is only a couch/sofa. Also, curtains on front door for privacy, especially at night, so street pedestrians are unable to view into the kitchen area. Overall, great location for areas attractions.

We stayed here while attending a convention and it worked well! Less expensive than a hotel and the property was nice. Service was great including flexibility to check in early. They were quite responsive and location was perfect for the convention center. Walkable to convention and marina.

We (a family of five: two young kids, grandmother, and parents) found this Historic Victorian truly charming and very comfortable. Its downtown location was incredibly convenient, especially for my wife's conference – quicker to walk to the convention center than take an Uber!As city dwellers, the gritty downtown vibe wasn't a shock, but it's worth noting for others. We loved how perfectly situated it was near the vibrant Gaslamp Quarter and delicious Little Italy. A huge bonus was the beautiful kids' park right on the waterfront, fantastic for our little ones. The property itself was very clean, exceptionally cute, and felt secure. We were pleasantly surprised by the street parking; we always found a spot right in front of the house when we returned in the evenings. There's also a convenient paid lot directly across the street. There are a couple of minor points to be aware of: be sure to keep the front door latched/locked even when you're inside, as a strong gust of wind can blow it open. Also, the primary bed was quite uncomfortable, with noticeable body grooves and a squeak that made sleep a bit challenging. As expected with a downtown location, there's a fair amount of street noise, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.Overall, this was a very reasonably priced and well-located option for a family visiting downtown. We'd recommend it!

We stayed here for Christmas 2024, great location and super clean. This stay had everything we needed for an enjoyable vacation! No issues with parking across the street in the surface lot. 10/10 would stay here again!

4 adults stayed for 3 nights and it was a good location for our sightseeing activities with very easy walking to Little Italy and into downtown. We didn't do any cooking so lack of a dining area/table was not really an issue for us but may be for others planning to make their own meals. Beds were nice and comfortable and bathrooms were fine. This area of San Diego does have a few unfortunate homeless folk around including tents on the opposite side of the road from this property but absolutely no issues with them at all so it wasn't a problem for us. Car parking at $10 for 12 hours / $25 for 24 hours was available in the lot right across the street. A very small number of free parking spaces are available on nearby streets but we only managed to snag a free spot on 1 of the 4 days we were there so if you have a vehicle expect to pay for parking ... plenty of (paid) space available though. All in all I think this was a good deal close enough to all the places we wanted to visit. I would go back here again for sure.

Great host and great communication; very responsive. Everything worked well overall, and the building was very clean and cute, though it is an older building so there may be some quirks. Beds and pillows were excellent. The location is somewhat loud and the windows are old and do not seal. Just be aware of it if you are a light sleeper; maybe bring some earplugs. There is a decent small grocery store nearby, though you may not feel safe going out after dark in the area. We had no problems, but we ubered around in the evening. There are several houses all together with a locked gate around them, so it was fairly secure. A great stay overall!

Terrific space!!! Communication with the host throughout the stay was fantastic. Walking distance to Little Italy and the pier. We had no issues with excessive noise or safety. Two bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms in the heart of downtown! Wish we could’ve stayed longer!!

Very clean. Let us drop off our bags prior to check in time. Communication with host was great. Only bad thing was kind of a seedy neighborhood and loud at night.

I want to start off by saying that the place is a great location! Great food choices nearby and you are within walking distance to the pier or the opera. The apartment was very clean and was gated so that only those staying were able to get in. Communication with the owners was great. Our flight came in early and they accommodated my family easily by letting us check in early. The only downside was the increased amount of homelessness in the area. There was one night that our gated step was the hip spot and those hanging around the area were very loud for a good chunk of time. By morning though, there weren't any homeless by our steps and i discovered later that a large group of them live under the overpass just up the road. This is at no fault of the owners as this is out of there control and i, being a midwest country girl, qm not used to the city noise as well as the homelessness. Overall, the place is wonder and i will definitely book there again if i ever visit san diego again.
