HISTORIC TROPICAL HOME, EXCELLENTLY DETAILED, 3 MINUTES WALK TO BEACH

The house is a great location just a few things we did not like, the water pressure is not great. There are no places in the bathroom or your bedroom to hang a hand towels, wash cloths or bathtowels. Very few dishes.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived early, I called to let them know and to see if we could ck in early, they said the property was not ready, ok so we got food and went to my eldest sons hotel for a while, came to the house at 3:00, check in time, the cleaning staff were just arriving to clean. so we had the kids go to the pool to avoid sitting in a hot van, the pool was not clean I asked were they going to be cleaning the pool and the area, it was not cleaned until 2 days later after I asked for the 2nd time, we ended up getting into the house 4-430, there was trash all over the side of the house large cans and bags, the house was half cleaned and smelled, we had to purchase trash bags, cleaning supplies, a shower curtain, toilet paper, paper towels, air freshener, we were accused of breaking a beach chair, that was in the SHARED POOL AREA, that was broken when we arrived, also a stool in the living room, that had been patched up numerous times, once we noticed the wobbly leg of the stool we took a picture of it and placed it up on a table, we would not be accused of breaking it. Oh before we left the large trash cans were removed but the bags were left, not sure why, but it was clearly not our trash, if the house had been properly cleaned before we moved in it would not have been there, I called numerous times to the office with complaints to only get an I'm sorry from the office, obviously the staff was not communicating to the owner the daily complaints . the stay in your place was a horrible experience, I should have been expecting a refund or to be compensated for all of the inconvenience. not to be accused for things that were not true.

The house is very old and not well taken car of. A couple of the doors were inoperable. One of the doors to the outside did not lock at all. And when it rained water would run in under the door. There was extremely low water pressure in the kitchen and it had no hot water in the kitchen sink. There were roaches in the house. We would leave in the mornings and come back at night because we did not feel comfortable staying at the house. I would definately not recommend. And on an added note, a man showed up at 8 oclock in the morning and started hammering on the deck/side of house with no advance warning . Woke everyone up in the house. Not great for vacation.

Fix the front door lock for easier use and add a washer/dryer

We would absolutely stay here again with our large family (10 persons). The pool access was terrific, and the only issue is the singular shower.

They only complaint I have is that I thought there was a washer dryer unit. But we made it work. The staff was very helpful when I called with questions/ concerns.

This was our first experience with VRBO but it was disappointing.. The main house was clean but as indicated in other evaluations was sorely lacking in many ways. The light in the 1/2 bath still was hanging by two wires. Although stated it could 'hold' 12 folks the dining room table only had four chairs. And the same with the kitchen: only four chairs at the small table. There were no toilet paper holders so toilet paper had to rest on the floor. It rained so hard the first night we were there that rain came in the second floor and onto the first floor! In the other room that we rented the rain washed in a a hammerhead worm which my husband learned is toxic to touch. (Fortunately we didn't touch it!) But he could not get into his side of the bed for the water that had come in thru the closed door! The pool was nice but only available to us for two days out of the week that we were there! Noisy neighbors above Pauline B had to be called out twice. Would we recommend this place to anyone? NO!!!
