History:

-This historical Mission style building was built in 1925 by farmer merchant Charles Leininger Kegerreis and Mary Kegerreis. Charles who were born in 1865 and died in West Palm Beach in 1954. According to the Palm Beach City Historic Preservation Planner, it is a local example of a Mission apartment building representative of a period of phenomenal growth in West Palm Beach from 1915 - 1930.

The Vrbo listing seemed to be pretty misleading, as we thought we’d get the entire house (it even listed “whole house”). We didn’t get told anything about a top or bottom unit until check-in, this made it difficult for family members with ADA issues to walk up the narrow stairs to our unit. Once family members got up the stairs they weren’t super comfortable going back down until we left the next day. It was also difficult to find, but once we found it- and got family members upstairs it wasn’t too bad. We enjoyed the decorations, the place was clean and spacious and the hosts were friendly. Overall a 4/5, but the misleading description did impact the comfortability of some family members. Would highly recommend adding a “top unit only-stair access required” to the description!

The house is quiet and comfortable. Access to great local food was a nice experience. Proximity to MLB spring training was perfect. Leaving well rested and content.

Eric and Mai have a charming property. Very clean with comfortable beds. However, the property is located in a warehouse district just outside of downtown. It is convenient to the convention center and the highway. With that being said, the highway makes sitting outside a little noisy. We were there to go to the Spring Training at the Cacti Park. It was only 11 minutes from the property.

The home was so cute !! I loved the alligators!! The home was very close to down town as described. We loved how close it was, literally could walk there if needed. All the details of the home were described perfectly. The Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the master bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way, and the remotes for the TV’s wouldn’t work in all the bedrooms, but other than that we had a very nice and comfortable stay. The host was very quick to respond to any questions we had. I would definitely stay there again. Also a quiet business district area, I didn’t expect it to be as quiet as it was.

I will start with the pros:The host was very communicative. He sent several detailed messages about where to eat, where to grocery shop, and how to get home. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. This historic home was charming and had a nice balcony. It has a lot of decor (maybe a little too much, but that's just my opinion). Now, the cons:The home was located next to a used car lot in an area that is not what I would call the heart of West Palm Beach. This may be my misunderstanding - but I was expecting a walkable downtown-type area, which it was not. The place was not clean. Both showers were moldy, the home was dusty, and the fridge and freezer were dirty. There was no usable wifi at the house. I did message the host, and he tried to help, but basically, it is a historic house with very thick walls that disrupt the signal. I tried a few different networks and workarounds but could never connect my son's iPad or Nintendo Switch.I took this trip with my sister and my kids and because of the area and the cleanliness I would not stay here again. We stayed in the upstairs unit - I believe the downstairs unit is also a rental. So, if you are looking for a large space to share or are not too worried about the location and are not picky about cleanliness, this would be a good spot.

Eric and Mai's place is charming and very comfortable. The wonderful front balcony with rocking chairs and a nice breeze makes a great spot for morning coffee. It was nice to be able to do laundry, and the apartment was spotless when we arrived. Great, prompt communication. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

The home was very unique. It was welcoming and clean, and the hosts were wonderful. The area was not what we expected, I guess we were thinking that we were closer to restaurants and shops etc. Some of us in our party had trouble getting the luggage up the very steep stairs, which we were not either aware of or prepared for. Other than that, the house itself served us very well, and we have no complaints. Margaret we have no complaints.

Property was perfect for our family’s Spring Training vacation. The list of pros is a long one: —Location: Close/central to the PBI airport; MLB fields in both West Palm Beach and Jupiter; dining/entertainment in West Palm Beach; and waterfront/beach in Palm Beach. All of that within a 15-20 minute drive radius! —Property: Spacious and well appointed rooms. Comfortable/quality furniture and beds. Excellent bedding and towels. Outstanding —Two reserved parking spaces directly in front of property —
