Historic Old Town Key West - Turtle House, Sleeps 6

Wonderful host! Steven was on property to answer any concerns I had.

If you come to Key West to experience the real place, rather than just resort and boat life, this is a perfect spot. It's right at the heart of a really unique town, with everything in walking distance--great restaurants and bars, museums, beaches, historical points of interest. Cottages open to a private garden with pool, hot tub, lounge areas. Just keep in mind that the roosters are in charge here.

This little house is in a great location, one block from Blue Heaven, one block from the Hemingway House, two from Duval Street and two from the entrance to the Truman Annex. There are bikes there for you to use - the best way to see as much of Key West as possible.

We absolutely loved this VRBO. Never been to the Keys and we couldn't have asked for a better place. The location was fantastic along with the house itself. We parked our vehicle and never had to get into it again until we left. Restaurants, bars, shopping, site seeing were all outside are door. We will definitely be booking this place again. Thank you!!

The house was fantastic. It’s within walking distance of all of great restaurants, including upscale bars that make “To Go” drinks that can be enjoyed poolside (the pool in the pictures), wile reading a book in peace and quiet. We have stayed at several family nice resorts with large pools, and what I loved about this is that our 9 year old said “Mom - this is so fancy.! And it’s not crowded.” To set expectations, the pool isn’t anything over-the-top, but that’s part of what makes it so nice. Kids have enough room to put on a mask and swim around - (my son could touch the bottom on his tippy-toes for about half of the length). It’s very manageable as a parent who wants to get R & R - in my view, it was a win-win. Our teenager daughter also loved this spot. It’s a safe neighborhood, which allowed us to give her freedom to explore. We let the kids each have a loft room to themselves, and we slept in the queen sized bed in the lower sitting area. This area also has a couch,table, etc. to watch TV, which we did as a family before bedtime. In the morning, the hot tub (also private and clean) is only 3 steps outside the door. The owner left detailed instructions and takes pride in making sure everything equates to a great experience. Will stay here again when we come to Key West if there is a availability.

We had a ladies trip and the place couldn’t have been more perfect. Having the pool and hot tub just made everything that much better:) The location is so close to everything but a couple streets back so you have privacy and no noise late night. We will definitely be back.

this is our second stay at the same home. We love the house, it has everything we needed for our week stay. Location couldn't be better. communication with the owner was almost instant.

This property could not have been more perfect for our family trip to Key West. The excellent location made it possible for us to fully explore the town without renting a car. Our kids could keep to their own schedule, which allowed everyone some flexibility, and we enjoyed coming together in the afternoon to enjoy the pool/hot tub. The other guests were very considerate and friendly. The Turtle House also has a small front porch where we had coffee every morning and people-watched. The house is close enough to lots of action but far enough away that we felt tucked into a pleasant residential area. Steven was an excellent host who clearly takes pride in the property and goes to a lot of effort to maintain it beautifully.

We found the property and the garden courtyard area especially charming, clean, and tropical. The location was spectacular and the historical architecture immersed us in a wonderful feel of Old Town Key West. The house was well appointed and suited our needs just right. The property manager/owner Mr. Justi was exceedingly prompt and responsive as well as helpful when I had questions. Would love to come stay again!

Location is PERFECT! Easy walk to so many attractions, and the on-site bikes make it even easier. House had all the comforts of home, great morning patio and evening jacuzzi, and tropical grounds kept things private. Very satisfied...
