Mesilla, New Mexico
Enjoy Old Mesilla in our authentic adobe built home that has been upgraded with all of the modern day comforts. Located three blocks from the plaza at the end of a Col-De-Sac with pecan orchards to the North and one of Mesilla's historic parks to the South, you will be surrounded with hundreds of years of history that highlights all of the incredible character that Mesilla has to offer, and its mystical healing qualities. Enjoy a quite and very private evening with wine or breakfast and coffee in an exquisite patio designed to capture any time or occasion that your mood desires. Enjoy walking to Mesilla's finest restaurants, bars, and wineries within a few blocks our home. Should you desire a longer walk or jog, there are plenty of walking paths right outside your front door.
This really is an old, historic adobe house but it has been updated with a very modern kitchen, bathroom and laundry. The location is perfect for walking to the plaza and nearby restaurants and shops. My husband was especially appreciative of the generous coffee supplies. Be aware that both the second bedroom (which is more of a sitting room) and the bathroom are both accessed through the master bedroom so a little awkward for sharing. The second bedroom only has a sofa bed, not the sleeping chairs as shown. We solved the issue of the bed in the master being against the wall (noted by another reviewer) by just moving the bed away from the wall. There is plenty of room. We were too busy to take advantage of the yard but it is really nice. Overall a wonderful property.
The Mesilla Adobe is my go-to place to stay when in Las Cruces. It's close to my clients and the Mesilla Plaza. Nice quiet neighborhood which is great after a hectic day. Look forward to my next stay!
This little place is in a perfect location and has a great yard for enjoying the afternoon with a drink and book.
The backyard at the casita in Old Mesilla was terrific. We liked having the fire pit and rocking chairs in the evenings. We would love to stay at the casita again.
Comfortable home in a great area. Walking distance to historic Mesilla plaza area, and short drive to NMSU.
I spent a month in Mesilla and this location was very convenient. I took advantage of the back yard on sunny afternoons. I really enjoyed the local businesses. Easy access to university, hiking, and wineries. I was also able to get to the bike path quite easily. White Sands is a fun day-trip. I brought my own sheets, pillows, pans, and knives because I’m fussy about such things.
Title: La Bella Casita The house was a historical remodeled house. Absolutely beautiful,! The patio was also beautiful. All the amenities one could hope for and get. Enjoyed it immensely!
We booked this as we had plans to visit our oldest for Thanksgiving. Due to family illness and work obligations we were not able to go but my daughter was thrilled to get out of her small apartment and enjoy this lovely home. She indicated that is was well maintained and had a relaxing restful week. Next time I fly out to visit I am hoping this rental is available. The one caveat she mentioned is that this is a historic property so anyone who is very tall may have to watch their head :)
It’s a great little house. Wonderful location, great yard and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The only drawback are the ceilings. Anyone taller than 6 feet really has to pay attention.
Location enjoyable, exterior attractive, interior features questionable for us as a mid80s age couple. Wife has marginal eye sight so lighting poor, bed location required both getting up during night, no TV cable or satellite as advertised, dining chairs un-comfortable, very minimal kitchen utincels, etc
We had our 2 little dogs with us so the park next door was great. The back yard was very comfortable and the inside of the house was nicely decorated. Can't wait to go back.
had a great time in Mesilla while exploring the beautiful valley
