Historic Lakemont Cabin Near Lake Rabun - 3 bdrm/2bath

We enjoyed our 5-night stay at Brownwings in October, just in time to enjoy lovely autumn views in the cabin’s peaceful wooded setting. Our group of three adults found the beds comfortable and the cabin clean and well equipped with modern conveniences. The heat and hot water worked well despite the chilly weather. We enjoyed the fire pit and the rocking chair porch. The floor plan is a bit unconventional in that you have to walk through the master bedroom and bath to access the bedroom with twin beds, but this was not a problem for our group of relatives. The cabin is conveniently located in Lakemont, a short drive from Tallulah Falls, Lake Rabun, and Clayton. The host/owner responded quickly to inquiries. We will be happy to return!

We had a wonderful stay at the historic home, Brownwings.The kitchen was large and had everything we needed to cook a large meal. The king bed was so comfy and the screened porch was spacious and cozy. The setting was quiet and within walking distance of Lakemont and Annies at Alley's Market where we enjoyed lunch. The whole area is history rich and we hope to return to Brownwings in the future.

Location is the best! This wonderful spacious home is centrally located to Angel Falls, Tallulah Falls, and Clayton and much much more. We loved the history of the home and the modern convinces without taking away from the age. The place is great for staycation and great to go and do activities. I would fully recommend and like to stay again.

We stayed at the cabin for a long weekend. My son got married at the pavilion across the street so it was a perfect location. The house was clean and cool when we came in from a hot day of decorating so someone had it ready for us. We had a wonderful weekend and they left us some farm fresh eggs, which was so nice! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property to relax and take in nature. Close to Clayton with cute shops and great restaurants. Home is very comfortable and well appointed. Thanks for a great Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed very much our weekend stay - we wish we could have stayed a little longer and would love to come back. The cabin is historic and beautiful. The location is quiet and secluded. Everything was comfortable and roomy. Check in and out very easy. Great communication from the host with clear directions.

What a great location for activities around Lake Rabun, the waterfall trails(Angel and Panther Falls), Tallulah Gorge State Park, and the food and conveniences of Clayton. Great cabin with good open space , kitchen, nice porches, and comfortable beds. It was perfect!
