Historic House Old Town Alexandria

Great location close to the Old Town Trolley which takes you to the Metro. Easy walk from the house to all of the shopping and restaurants on King Street. Also close to historic Christ Church and other Alexandria landmarks. Our family with four children enjoyed using this as our home base during our Washington, DC vacation. Vat is a superb host and is very responsive. Would definitely plan to return!

Beautiful home right in old town. Super convenient for walking around with lots of shops (and King St. Night life!) just steps away. Vatsana provided everything we needed and was a terrific host. Will definitely consider staying here again next time we visit!

This house fit our needs perfectly. We visiting Alexandria with one grown son specifically to see another son and his wife. It was wonderful to have someplace to crash to visit after our day's activities. Beautifully appointed with 2 bedrooms. 2baths, and comfortable beds...perfect.

Perfect location. Close to the metro, close to amazing restaurants and the waterfront. Easy check-in and check-out process.

The property location was wonderful! Walking distance to everything. The property was also very clean and historic. Our grown kids live in DC so it was a perfect place for them to join us for the weekend.

Great house and location is perfect in Old Town!

This was our third stay at the home. Inside was as great as always. The drive and back parking had some snow and ice through no fault of the owner. Throughout Old Town there were similar conditions. There had been work to make some parking possible. Since the ice was so thick, that must have been extremely difficult. The owner is wonderful to deal with.

We were in town for the Marine Corp Marathon and were so happy with the location of this property. The house was perfect and exactly what we needed. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in old Towne Alexandria. The house was great. Having the off street parking was huge. Everything else is street parking. The neighborhood is awesome. Safe, clean, and active. You're only a 5 minute walk from the main strip that is lined with restaurants, coffee shops, and stores-- clear to the water front. With a child, we made the whole walk to the water in 15 minutes. Jeni's ice cream is minutes from the house and our kid loved going each night. The house was well decorated, modern, and functional. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen (you will need to bring seasoning, cooking oils but pots and pans are good), and eating in the nice dining room. Beds are comfy, good black out curtains keep street noise and outside light down. Bathrooms are clean and showers with good water pressure. The host was quick to respond, and easy to work with which was greatly appreciated. I really can't stress how nice the location is. 15 min uber to DC museums, 25min Uber to zoo. The Metro is nearby but looked like it'd take an hour to get to the zoo, so we chose Uber.All of that, and a great price. We'd definitely look to come back again (hopefully next time with no government closure.)

The home was exactly what we hoped it would be. A perfect place to be the center point of our trip to Washington and Alexandria

This beautiful home was centered right in the middle of a beautifully quaint city that we didn’t have enough time to explore all the fun shops and eateries…enjoyed staying here,would not hesitate to stay here again!

This was an excellent property, comfortable, very well equipped and beautifully decorated.

This is a wonderful house in a well kept, safe, and convenient part of historic Old Town Alexandria. The house is very old, but it has been completely modernized. 2 bedroooms, 3 bathrooms, modern kitchen, high efficiency washer and dryer. The bedrooms and showers are upstairs with a fairly steep flight of stairs to climb. Guests with mobility issues might find the stairs to be challenging. Getting to DC (which was the reason for our visit) was easy and fast. We walked 1.5 blocks to catch a free bus. The bus took us for a short ride to the DC metro station. Over all this was a great place to stay for business or pleasure. I will book this house again when I go back to Alexandria for a DC vacation.

We enjoyed the stay at this lovely restored home. We would suggest providing Kleenex, Extra towels and washcloths. The sheets on one of the beds could have been better as they were “pilled”. Over all, this was a great place to stay and convenient to Old Town and DC! We also appreciated the quick response of our host and her willingness to extend our stay a little bit.

Perfect place to land after working in DC or exploring King St.

This home is beautiful!! It's in a great location. You can walk to local shops and restaurants. DC is about 20 minutes away. It's perfect!

Beautiful home in a great neighborhood. The parking was a nice benefit (no off street parking required). The home was nicely decorated and remodeled. The owner was very easy to reach and prompt. Great house!

We were delayed due to weather and a maintenance issue. Our host was understanding. The location was great with plenty of food and shops near by. The drive way was good when we needed uber to pick us up. We were able to cook and eat around a table on the nights we wanted. We would stay there again.

We took our daughter and her friend to a concert in DC. This location was perfect. Loved that there was a driveway and private back area to relax, though it was far too hot to enjoy it. The back area could use some TLC, but since it was too hot to really spend much time back there, it didn't impact us. The home pretty much had everything you need. We were able to walk to the metro. Record highs and the a/c worked excellent! We will stay here again!

We had the best time at Vat’s place! It was exactly as promised and so close to the heart of Old Town— just over a block to King Street. Every need was anticipated and the house was comfortable and cozy! Highly recommend and hope to be back! Also, be sure to check out La Pluma, which just opened on the corner. Amazing! Enjoy!

Felt like we were staying in a hotel. Great space, great neighborhood. Loved walking around the corner for coffee or dinner. Would definitely use again if back in the area!

Beautifully renovated house with everything you might need. Plenty of space for everyone. Close to Metro at the end of King street or easily a short 10-15 min Uber into DC. After spending the day at the Museums and sightseeing it was very pleasant to come back to Old Town and grab dinner or ice cream in a relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was beautiful. Kitchen completely updated, beds comfortable, and the location couldn't be better.

Our stay was awesome. Convenient to Airport, DC, & Arlington Cemetery. Also, a cute coffeehouse (soon wine) had just opened up across the street. Very good coffee & breakfast items. King street was very entertaining. We spent cocktail hours & dinners there. Our Host, Vat, was amazing. The house is adorable. Perfect for our family of four. And the parking was most convenient with its own private driveway.

We had a wonderful stay. The home is beautifully decorated, has all the amenities you'd want, and is in a prime location. We were able to spend the day in DC and then come back and walk to dinner. Grocery store, drug store, etc. were all in walking distance.

Walking distance to metro and the wharf. We enjoyed making breakfast and dinner at home and finding great restaurants for lunch! We traveled back and forth to DC each day of our stay.

Our family enjoyed staying in this home in the heart of Alexandria. It was an easy walk to public transportation and a number of great restaurants. Great place to relax and recoup after a busy day of site seeing.

Great house and location

This is, hands-down, the absolute best experience I have ever had at a vacation stay. There is a reason this townhome has a completely 5-star rating: the house, and the owner, are exemplary in every way. From the impeccably-decorated historic home, to the thoughtful gestures by the owner to make sure we had every comfort possible, to the unbeatable location in gorgeous Old Town Alexandria, you can simply not ask for more. We cannot wait to come again!

A couple of blocks from everything you need

We loved the quick drive into DC from this home and coming back each evening to a comfortable house with close proximity to all Alexandria had to offer. So cute!

Such a wonderful home to stay in. Every detail to meet personal needs. Lovely decor adds to the total well being of all of us. Variety of colors wonderfully coordinated. Art work fabulous. Kitchen set up so well. Added washer/dryer helpful. Just lovely.

This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely home. The host is wonderful to work with and answers our questions immediately. The home is a blend of history and ultra modern. The parking in the rear is so appreciated. It is so near all the Old Town spots. We love this place!

Property was wonderful and close to King Street Station. Will definitely be on my list for any future visits to the DC area.

All 4 of us enjoyed the stay. Very well equipped kitchen although we only used microwave and coffeemaker. Washer and dryer were very useful for us. Handy to anything we wanted to do. Went to DC on the Metro worked great!! All the people were so helpful everywhere we went!!

We were visiting for a family wedding and the house was perfect. The house was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Being just a block and half from King Street, shops and restaurants were easy to get to by walking. Vat was super responsive. Any time I sent a question, she replied extremely quickly. I would highly recommend this property.

We had a great stay at this property. We have stayed in many VRBOs over the last several years and this one is easily in the top 3. There was plenty of space in this home and it had everything we needed. The location was great for touring around Alexandria and it was a short walk to the Metro to spend time in DC. We packed a lot of things into a week, but we'd definitely come back here again in the future.

Excellent location that is walking distance to King Street and the harbor. The house is unbelievably furnished and functional. The owner is very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay there again.

A marvelous house in a great location

Alexandria old town is an ideal location whether as a destination or going to DC. Uber was easy and good choice. Alexandria is a lovely, interesting town.. Vat's home is just wonderful! Good location, very walkable area. Home is very immaculate and has any possible amenity you could want. It is more like staying in a family or friends or home not a rental. Vat communicates quickly and seems to want renters to be totally happy. Well appointed and many special items. Parking off street a real bonus. We vrbo often and this was the best!

The house was beautiful and the location was perfect for exploring Old Town Alexandria and getting on the metro. Highly recommend!!
