Stayed Aug 6, 2025We were so impressed with the charm of the home! Perfect blend of original design and modern touches. Beach towels, chairs and a cooler are provided. The outdoor playhouse and hot tub are bonuses. Plenty of towels and even has shampoo conditioner and body wash in the bathroom. We could have used one more shower. The basement has a fun arcade and sofa beds and laundry. The nook bedroom is absolutely adorable! Perfect location between downtown and midtown. We walked everywhere! Highly recommended!!

Stayed Jul 7, 2025The location was perfect for us! We were able to walk to town easily. Noting, we are active people. There is also a Trader Joe's and another grocery store in walking distance as well. The home is updated beautifully. Shower was amazing! There were many rooms we weren't able to take advantage of because there were only two of us. We did run into one incident about the air conditioning but it was taken care of immediately! The home is also in, what is considered to be the garden district of Coeur d'Alene. Most every home in that area was beautifully maintained with flowers on the outside. Just a magnificent neighborhood stroll. Would highly recommend.

Stayed Apr 3, 2025What a beautiful vintage home! I was in Couer d’Alene for almost a month helping my daughter. I needed a space to come and relax in the evenings, maybe do some cooking. Also it would give my daughter and her family a bit of time to themselves as well. Phippeny House was perfect … peaceful and homey. It was equipped with everything that you might need. Also my little grandchildren loved coming to visit. They were intrigued with the playhouse and of course the special little sleeping/reading nook. The host was so kind and helpful … thank you.Again I would say Phippeny House was absolutely perfect!!

Stayed Mar 14, 2025We loved our stay. The kitchen was great, had everything we needed and was decorated so well. There was something for all different ages of kids! Tons of games for families. My son was obsessed with the cottage hideaway kids room. The location is amazing, a couple minutes drive or short walk to downtown shops or to the grocery store.

Stayed Jul 19, 2024The host was most accommodating and quick to respond. The house was decorated fabulously with up to date appliances and a 1913 feel. This was a beautiful home and a most wonderful stay!

Stayed Jul 7, 2024This was a wonderful house for my family with two small children. Super cute house and very walkable to the restaurants on 4th street. A very easy bike ride or walk to McEuen park and the lake. My older kiddo (5) loved the sleeping nook and arcade, my littlest (16 months) was especially fond of the outdoor play kitchen. We brought along a baby gate as we noted the listing said there were steep stairs and it worked out great. My oldest has already requested we stay there again!

Stayed Jun 27, 2024This place is super charming! A historic house with vintage and antique flair plus modern amenities, we thoroughly enjoyed every one of our 6 days here. Everything was pristinely clean and ready for us upon arrival, and we really did not want to leave. Pros: walkable to bars/restaurants, shower pressure is fantastic, kid approved (8 and 11 yrs old), wolf range in the kitchen, comfortable seating, rocking chairs on the front porch (we sat there every night), arcade in basement, outlets and USBs everywhere for plenty of charging space, sleeping nook for kids was adorable. My 8 year old LOVED his hideout in there. Good kids books too. The pro list does not end. Secret tip: games are in the lower cabinet in the dining room. Good games, too. Found those late in our stay but played them immediately. Forbidden Island FTW. Diana, our host, was beyond helpful and responded within 5 minutes or sooner every time. I have no cons, just notes for what renters can expect— the floors are creaky and squeaky and noise travels easily (didn’t take us long to get used to it). The stairs are short and steep (all part of the charm). BBQ is charcoal (stated in description we just didn’t pay attention). 10/10 would stay here again.
