Historic Home w/ Yard Near St Mary's Strip!

Quiet peaceful neighborhood. Home definitely has a historic atmosphere, loved it for the valentines weekend. All the shops and POI were very close from the location. A great stay.

What a lovely stay! The cottage has everything you need, the bed was so comfortable and our stay was absolutely wonderful and the location was so convenient. I will definitely be back!

The place was clean but the furnishings and bedding were low quality. The leather sofa has been replaced by a cheap upholstered one. The coffee situation left a lot to be desired and while they provide many types of 2in1 shampoo and conditioner, there is no body wash.

We were in San Antonio for an event at Trinity. The location is perfect and the house was comfortable.

Our stay at this historic home was wonderful. The property itself was beautiful, in a great location & very comfortable. The communication with the property manager however was really poor. I contacted her 3 times in advance of our arrival with a query, but only heard from her a few hours before we were due to check into the property. My query was in relation to whether it were possible to have a pack & play at the property for my 2 year old, & while the listing doesn’t have this as an available amenity, the property owner herself contacted me & arranged to have one available for us at the property which we were so grateful for. We appreciate that she went above & beyond to do this for us - thank you.

The house was clean and kitchen updated. I was surprised that there were absolutely no staples in the kitchen: salt, pepper, cooking spray, etc. No ice in the freezer. And no dishwasher soap or shower soap. If my granddaughter wasn’t living close by, I would have had to buy a lot of items. The property manager was good about reimbursement for the broken coffee pot.

Location, location, location! This cottage was the perfect distance for Alamo, Riverwalk, & Pearl activities & just far enough to be quiet. The space was charming. The gate was broken so I was nervous to let our dog out. The inside cabinets & drawers could use a bit of tidying (crumbs, ect) but overall we were quite happy with this sweet little house.

Place was nice but the parking/ yard was a not great. The trash cans block the drive up so only one car fits in the drive, the yard was not desirable. The house was exactly how they portrayed.

Several reviews said the yard was overgrown, but it was well kept for our stay. There’s lots of brush lining the yard, which made it very private. The house was immaculate. The only complaint we had was about storage in the bathroom/shower. We absolutely loved the location. So many great restaurants within walking distance. We took full advantage of that.

Clean. Close to riverwalk. Easy access to get anywhere you want in San Antonio.

This is a quaint, old style home in a popular area of town. We happened to stay there during a heat wave which is very taxing on the air conditioning system when there's little to no insulation in the attic. Owner was great and had a service tech come out the evening we arrived. A few things to note: the yards are in horrible shape, over grown and high weeds with stickers (not abnormal for SA VRBOs for some reason). The house was clean except for the kitchen which had dirty stove & countertops (sticky). There are NO closets and the bathroom doesn't have shelving or countertops for your toiletries, etc. I have full faith that the owner will improve the issues with the home and will make it a great place to stay. For us, it was good enough for our needs and we were able to enjoy our graduation weekend in SA.

The outside of the house was pretty shocking to drive up too. Everything is overgrown, dirty and run down. The inside looked like they tried to fix it up but it was lacking common comforts like a closet, a place to hang your clothes, a shelf to put a bar of soap on in the shower, an extra blanket, a mirror, iron or coffee. The back yard was just overgrown weeds. It wasn’t horrible but we were disappointed for sure.

This cute home is located in a wonderful centrally located home. We were there to visit friends and see the city. The location of this home was really perfect for everything we did during our visit.

Great little house in a central location, everything you need! Clean, nice kitchen and hot shower. The only drawback is the post office parking next door is busy at 2 and 3 in the morning.

This home in the historic Tobin Hill location is perfectly located for exploring one of San Antonio's most bustling entertainment districts, the Saint Mary's strip. Tons of local-centric restaurants and bars within walking distance -- with live music venues close by. This is the neighborhood where San Antonians go for great drinks and food -- not the tourist-centric spots at the Pearl. House is well-furnished and decorated with personality. Do be aware that it shares a fence with a Post Office hub and if you're a light sleeper, you may want earplugs to drown out the pre-dawn noise of trucks loading up to head out on their routes.

This property perfectly met our needs, including the fenced in backyard for the dog. I made a low fuss holiday meal without any trouble. We were comfortable in the cottage and enjoyed being walking distance to entertainment.

We loved our stay at the house! Very comfortable setting, listing looked just like the photos, and we were able to easily access everything we wanted to see in SA. Our only downside was the overgrown backyard, though we loved having a doggy door for our pup.

Wonderful

Our family of four stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed our stay. The home was as described and the location great. I only issues we had were on check in with the old fashioned key holder and a couple of issues with the furniture. I emailed the management company and never heard back. The dining table top is not attached to the base and the glass coffee table was about to break- we only discovered this with our small children while trying to use a portable high chair on the table and with them using the coffee tables for toys. Other than this, and the occasional noisy car at 2 am, the house was great. I would just say it’s best for families or renters without small kiddos.

The design and overall layout was beautiful! Every detail was so well done! Extremely comfortable and convenient to everything! We'll definitely be back!!
