Step back in time while enjoying total privacy at this historic antique home, nestled on several acres of mature, landscaped grounds within the protected Cape Cod National Seashore. Situated just a quarter-mile stroll from the soft sands of Bound Brook Island Beach, this peaceful sanctuary pairs authentic historic charm with sprawling outdoor living space. Guests will love the expansive front brick patio, lush private yard complete with a cozy hammock, and seamless ease of access thanks to anewly constructed raised road leading directly to the property.

The spacious main house, named Oyster, features a light-filled L-shaped living room, a formal dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, an adjacent den, and two full bathrooms. The versatile floor plan comfortably hosts up to eight guests across four private bedrooms. On the main level, you'll find a convenient queen bedroom alongside a recently renovated full bath. Upstairs, two additional bedrooms—one with a queen bed and another with twin beds that can easily convert to a king—share a second full bathroom. For extra privacy, the fourth bedroom is set in a charming detached guest cottage just steps behind the main house, complete with its own queen bed and ensuite bath with a walk-in shower.

Designed for relaxing summer gatherings, the outdoor amenities make the most of the tranquil natural setting. Cook dinner on the gas grill, enjoy al fresco drinks on the patio, or rinse off under the sky in the outdoor shower after a day on the beach. Complete with high-speed WiFi, laundry facilities, classic entertainment options, and every kitchen staple down to a drip coffee maker and lobster pot, this Cape Cod classic delivers an unforgettable retreat for nature lovers and families alike.
If you need even a little more space, there is an additional rental home just down the driveway (approximately 500 feet) offering 2 bedroom, shower bath, large bay window, TV, door to private lawn area, table & chairs, small fridge, sink and coffee pot available to rent as well. Primary road closed due to tidal flooding. Secondary road passable but had to ford tidal flow. Rutted trail in passable with AWD only. Driveway flooded and home not accessible. Remote spot and need to be aware of tides. Poorly represented in description. Had to find alternative lodging

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was perfect. So many wonderful little spots to relax in or to explore. Our group loved the nice little walk to the beach. The beach was spectacular. Low tide or high tide just a treat to visit. We all loved the lived and feel of the house.. I will definitely try to come back again.

House was a beautiful historic home with tins of character in a remote home by ine of the best beaches I've ever seen on the Cape. Couldn't have asked for a better rental to meet up with friends at and just relax and enjoy the area.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a magical place! A beautiful, 18th century house in the middle of the National Seashore, utterly private and remote, just a 5 minutes’ walk from the bay. Though the house is more than 2 centuries old, it is comfortable and well equipped: the owners have thought of every convenience, from an ultra-modern shower to the wireless Internet access (one member of our family was able to work remotely during our stay). A charming little guest cottage provides another bedroom and bathroom. A large brick terrace in front of the house, overlooking flower beds and fruit trees, has comfortable chairs and tables, a barbecue and firepit. Outside the kitchen in the back, a large glass table & umbrella makes a lovely shady place to breakfast and lunch -- and a relaxing hammock is a few paces away. For hikers, there are some wonderful walks right from the property that follow the old cart tracks through the woods. And during a couple of rainy days, we were never bored for a minute, thanks to the amazing collection of books in the house (not to mention all the board games and puzzles) & comfy chairs and sofas. Wish we were still there!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location on Bound Brook Island is amazing, so close to a nearly deserted beautiful beach. The house is comfortable, especially the living room area with several spots to sit and gather. Unfortunately this was a challenging mosquito season in Wellfleet, and Bound Brook Island seemed to be a mosquito breeding ground while we were there. It was quite extreme and prevented us from lounging outside at the property. The gas for the stove ran out while we were there and the owner was lovely and had it filled immediately.

I know that you can't control the mosquitos but they were so bad. Had none last year when we stayed and could not sit outside this year nor could we walk to the beach. Will say that clean up of the fruit that falls would be helpful as the bees were also terrible. We spent a few hours raking and that helped. Also the bathroom in the little house is filthy and moldy. Love the setting though, even with the bugs! Thanks you
