Historic Home in East Chop

Wonderful home with unique history. We spent the majority of our time on the back patio enjoying cards, the shade, and the smell of the sea. I personally took all my showers in the outdoor shower. Absolutely wonderful!

We had an amazing stay at East Chopt House in Martha’s Vineyard! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and perfect for our family. The host was incredibly responsive and made us feel right at home with helpful local tips. The peaceful location was close to everything we needed — shops, beaches, and restaurants. We’re already dreaming of our next trip back!

First time to MV, so I didn’t really know what to expect. I thought the property was even better in person than what I envisioned from the listing. Is was quaint and charming and APPEARS to be off the beaten path BUT was conveniently located to restaurants, shopping and the beach, which we thought was pretty cool. The homeowner was pleasant to deal with from the time of booking until check out. Very responsive and connected a couple of times during our stay to make sure everything was good. The only slight was having one shower inside the house for our group of all women. However, those that tried the outdoor shower did enjoy the experience. We would stay again.

Perfect East Chop cottage

Clean home with everything we needed. Peaceful neighborhood less than 5 minute drive to the shops in OB. Excellent communication from the host. Hope to stay again in the future.

This beautiful house accommodated our family perfectly. Since one member was a professional chef we wanted a nice kitchen and a table to gather around. Beds were comfortable & there was space for everyone to gather or find a nook to be on their own. Outdoor shower was a hit. Loved the decor, lighting, seating, location - no notes! Easy walk to town. Jonathan was quick to respond. Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend this house.

We just completed our stay with another couple. The house is exactly as described, renovated and very clean. We only used two of the bedrooms and used one of the bedrooms to store our luggage. The house is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything to enjoy your stay. We especially loved having a comfortable patio and the use of the gas grill. Navigating the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms may be tricky if you have mobility problems but there is a frat floor bedroom, if that is the case. We plan to rent again next summer. The owner checks in on your arrival and departure which we appreciated.

This home is the quintessential MV home, but is also modernized; a perfect combination! We love the house and the location; it’s quiet enough to feel like you’re in the woods, but close enough to town to walk!
