Greendale, Wisconsin
A Greendale "original" designated historic dwelling within walking distance of the quaint village of downtown Greendale. Walk to Ricardo's pizza, a local wine bar, frozen custard shop, upscale Joey Gerard's, bar and grill and BBQ restaurants. Also, local boutique shops. Greendale also hosts some local festivals year-round, outdoor concerts at the Gazebo and Farmer's market. A short drive from Milwaukee and all this great city has to offer. Newly renovated porcelain tile in kitchen and hallway. Fresh paint!
Property location was nice. LR furniture is outdated & uncomfortable for seniors. Food was left in the refrigerator & freezer from previous occupants. TV reception was poor. We've rented a fair number of VRBO properties but have not had to strip the bed prior to leaving. Last minute email that we didn't receive until we returned home that asked us to notify owner when we left the property. Owner had been asked to text since we don't have email access when we are travelling.
Very clean but small bathroom. Needs a grab bar in the shower and a higher toilet, bed was comfortable and furniture in living room was not comfortable. Needs a couple recliners as the chair was low and hard to get out of. We are older and would have been more comfortable with better chairs. Over would give it a B+ We would stay here again. The no visitor policy was strange as we were visiting family and they came over to pick us up and came inside several times. We understand no overnigjt guests bit??
Came in for a short stay for a wedding. The area was beautiful- close to food and a mall. Easy access but the house is on a very narrow street so you have to really pay attention because it’s tough to turn around. Only issue was the bedroom tv did not work - which was fine. And the router/modem in the bedroom was very bright so it has to be covered with a towel. Would recommend.
My friend and I stayed here for 2 nights for a girls trip for a concert in town. The townhouse was clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. The futon was actually pretty comfortable as well! Communication with owner was excellent , and the location was in a cute town within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and a wine place :) we enjoyed our stay thoroughly!
Good place to stay on business.
I love the property it is well maintained and was a perfect location for visiting my sick mom. The instructions can in through the message part of vrbo, email, and via direct text from the owner. As a frequent business traveler I am used to a simple process. I am partially to blame as I am admittedly super busy how having checkin info come from three locations was confusing to say the least. I was so busy I did not get to really stay there much but I think think all the rules and regulations reminded me of 11th grade insteqd of easy business travel I am used to. So if you liked at the rules and reuglations of high school go for it. If you want easy non hostel type arrangements go to a hotel. I think if I wasnt so buyy all the rules wouldn't be so irksome. But I am busy and don't want to go back to high shcool. Lovely place for a realexed traveler who has time to read all the rules and difernet inputs but for a busy traveler I would not reccommend. So I have mixed feelings lovely place but kind of like being in high school with all the rules. I hated high school
The property was exactly as described and was very comfortable and cozy. The host was fabulous to work with and she supplied lots of extras at the property for our stay. Would DEFINITELY stay there again, should the occasion arise!
All previous reviews are on point. The community and neighbors are amazing, the walks to the shops and restaurants were above all of our expectations. The house itself is extremely comfortable and cozy.
Cute one bedroom in the heart of the community. Staying here gave us a great location from which we could easily visit family and friends and yet have our own place to come home to at night. All the necessities are here and the community draws you in. It’s easy to take in a nice morning walk, coffee on the patio, a long bike ride entertainment at the gazebo, and of course shopping.
I loved my stay here. The cottage is so cute and perfect for one person or a couple. Greendale is such a quaint city. One night a pop up band started playing in a driveway down the street. And they were so good! Bike trails close by too and the botanical gardens were beautiful.
