Absolutely gorgeous downtown waterfront home. Loaded with historical significance and character, all while minutes walking distance to museums, restaurants and festivities on Main Street Annapolis. This home has a deep water slip for up to 40 feet. There are also kayaks and canoes guests may enjoy. And if you aren't up for the short walk to ego alley ... Take the water taxi, they will pick you up and bring you back to 5’s dock. This locally legendary house has had only 2 owners since 1936, each with deep ties to USNA and USMA. It is truly a family home they are happy to share. It’s not a ‘rental’ and the owners desire guests who will treat the home as their own. It is their joy to share this little gem with people who love Annapolis and it’s history.

This home is the definition of tranquility as a virtually secret place in the middle of a city. Tucked away on the waterside of Southgate Ave., it is peaceful, quiet and completely private. Sleeps six adults and two children comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen. Laundry on-site. Walking distance to everything Annapolis. This home is truly one of a kind.

Note that there is street parking only. The photo of the driveway aims at showing the guests that the entrance to the home is down the driveway and behind 7 Southgate Avenue. This home was built in 1936 for the daughter of the then owners of 7 Southgate. Hence the legacy access. There are multiple garages that are less than .4 of a mile away if extended M-F daytime parking is needed. 2 hour weekday limit but no night or weekend parking restrictions. Both uptown and downtown Annapolis are easy walking distance from Southgate Avenue through beautiful Murray Hill.

Our host was so helpful, the kitchen was well-stocked and the porch area with the beautiful view of the water was amazing!

We loved this property. It was so nice to enjoy the views on the water in the morning and at night. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and soaps and shampoos for the bathroom. They provided coffee and the coffee make makes great coffee. Erin was wonderful and called me the day before to tell me how to get in to the property. The water taxis were so nice to be able to get around as well. The house has wonderful history attached to it and it is just decorated so nicely. Sofas and chairs are comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed if you want to cook. I will definitely book this house again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. It is right on the water with multiple outdoor seating spots. It had the perfect Annapolis cottage feel! The place was very clean and the property manger was very responsive. The only issue we experienced was when the property manager let us know that the cable company would be coming and that she wanted to be on the property while they were there. We agreed that would be fine because we were out of the house during the day. However when I later texted her to clarify check-out process, she specifically mentioned something in the freezer needing to be cleaned which felt a little strange… We were fine with her being there but knowing she took that opportunity while we were gone to go through the home, fridge, freezer, and who knows what else made us feel uneasy. It felt a bit like a violation of privacy. PS we of course cleaned the spill in the freezer, we would have regardless!

We loved this charming house The hosts left a book with the story of the people who have lived there and you could just feel the history. We rented it for the Annapolis Holiday lights parade and what a spectacular location. Our kids had such a great time. It was perfectly appointed and comfortable. We walked downtown. Everything was easy. The host was available all weekend for answering questions. Thank you so much. We had a great time!!

Our stay could not have been better. The house is in the perfect location for visiting Annapolis and all the city has to offer. We were in for the fall sailboat show. Water taxi picks up and drops off right from the dock. The house was well appointed and stocked with anything you might need. Our host was easy to communicate with and we never had any issues. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience

Very nice time and would recommend. Make sure to have apps to mirror or download on TV. Internet gliches and disconnects while watching. Other than that, view from deck is great and neighborhood is awesome. Kitchen is well stocked.

We just came back from spending a long weekend in Annapolis, celebrating two birthdays. This property is just perfect with so much history in the most amazing view. Erin was easy to work with and very quick to respond. As it’s been mentioned, there really is no need for a car, Take the water taxi everywhere. It’s the best way to get around.

Check in was a breeze and property manager was thoroughly communicated with us regarding how to get in property, where to park, where to eat and she even provided expert advice on water taxi. (Note; for water taxi it’s easier to walk to end of street instead of homes dock for the water taxi to see you and pick you up) water taxi was $6/person for downtown compared to $10 for Uber. It’s about a push with tip for 2 people….cheaper for more than 2. House was cute and had everything we needed. Bathrooms are small but clean and water pressure was good. Beds could use a little updating, they were firm, but we were so exhausted from walking 20,000+ steps each day it didn’t really matter. Neighborhood is quiet with plenty of street parking. We would stay here again for sure and enjoy more time on the dock and enjoying the water but it was only a 2 nighter for us.
