Historic District Inn 4 Bed/ 3 Bath in the heart of downtown Hermann!

Great location; beautifully decorated; plenty of space and amenities. Only issue was that it was a little cold in the house and we couldn’t actually find contact info to call if we had an issue.

Awesome time in the wonderful location! This place is cute, clean & well stocked kitchen!!! My only recommendation (and we may have missed it) is for a Keurig because the coffee pot took quite awhile.

The house was perfect for our group of 8 women. It had an everything we needed and was so tastefully furnished. The beds were comfortable and the location amazing. We would definitely stay again!

Wonderful home…lots of space for our birthday party celebration and guests. Great communication with owner and timely responses. Very clean and had everything we needed. Only complaint was hot water. My husband never once had a hot shower as he was the last to take one upstairs each night. A hot water on demand might be a beneficial investment. Great location and close to downtown. Would rent again!

Only reason for 4 and not 5 was the internet was out for our first 3 days. Not the owners fault and because if the timing (NYE/NYD) couldn’t get anyone to come repair/upgrade. Other than that, excellent!

The location is amazing and curb appeal is great. However staying in this house in the winter proved to be a challenge. There were several space heaters scattered through out the house which were necessary to stay warm, but the wiring in the house was inadiquate to use more than one at a time. The breaker blew when we used two or more of them. The breaker box was down in the crawl space that was accessed from outside of the house. There was a water leak down there so my husband was standing in water while finding the blown brakers. There was a nice water softner down there that was not being used. There were cobwebs throughout the house and the floors had not been cleaned well in the corners. The upstairs heater filter was absoluty plugged solid with dirt and cobwebs. Not only is that hard on the furnace but its also unheathy! Lets talk about the shower up stairs. If you are over 4 feet tall you will have to shower while on your knees. The slope of the roof makes showering in there unpleasent. The water smelled so badly of sulffer that we nealy got sick. Not to mention that it never got hot. The WIFI did not work the whole time we were there. I contacted the owner who said he was working on it. But after looking at reviews that were recently posted nearly everyone of them said that it didn't work so he was not being truthful about that. The cable also didn't work. There were several light bulbs out thoughout the house. We had to move bulbs around so we could see.

The house was in a great location to be able to walk all around town. The bedrooms are very spacious! And the owners were easy to get ahold of with questions we had. Definitely recommend this place!

The house itself was nice, but we had to give a low rating due to serious issues during our stay. Half of the house lost power, and when we contacted the owner, he said he couldn’t get anyone to come fix it. His number was a New York number, and neighbors said they had never met him, so we assume he doesn’t live nearby.He told us the breaker was in the basement and that we would need to go outside to access it. The basement door was a heavy hatch in the ground, and the entrance involved going down very tight, dirty concrete stairs. We did not feel comfortable doing that. One in our group is in her 80s and requires an oxygen concentrator that needs to stay plugged in overnight. His response was simply, “Then go flip the breaker.”That was not acceptable. There was also no internet or TV, and there wasn’t enough hot water for showers. Being told to go into a dark, unsafe basement on Halloween night, with no power in the bedrooms, hallway, staircase, living room, or dining room, was completely unreasonable and unsettling for five women alone in the house.

This is the second time I have stayed in this home, and it was a let down. The toilet upstairs was broken, and the host said no one could come fix it. We paid for the parts, and my husband fixed it. The host said he would reimburse us, but he never did. The Wifi was out the whole stay. We had friends who were planning to work remotely on Friday, but they were not able to because of this. Also, we were unable to watch any television, and it was a big football day. The host did not even attempt to have someone come out even though we contacted him early Friday morning about the problems. The upstairs bathtub drained extremely slowly. We won't be staying here again. The host said he would make things right, but he did not. My husband spent 30 minutes cleaning off spider webs on the back porch so we could sit outside. Cute house, but the service was horrible.

The property was beautiful and so close to downtown. The owner was so accommodating and helpful. We will stay here again

Loved the location, cleanliness, communication, well appointed home. Nice seating outside. Kitchen well stocked. House larger than expected. Stairs to upstairs are very steep, so be warned if that is a problem for you. The stair carpet really helps. Decor very nice. Docked one star because we could not get WiFi to work, despite working with property manager. Upstairs beds shook as trains go by. Fabulous location also meant that we had rowdies gunning motorcycles and shouting after 11 pm into wee morning hours. We really enjoyed our stay. Relaxed rabbit hung around yard.

My husband and I and 3 other couples enjoyed our stay at this spacious, clean, quaint historic home. It was right in the center of town and we were able to walk to shops, winery, restaurants…

This is our 3rd year in this home and we love everything about it!! Has everything we need to cook on the grill for an evening meal of Brauts from Wursthaus. Takes care of 9 people getting ready in the morning for the day! Back yard fire pit to enjoy an evening with family and friends. Hope to be back next year!

We loved our stay! The inn was in a great and convenient location to shops, wineries, and restaurants. The house was cute, comfortable and COOL during the heat wave of late July. The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had.

Adorable house!!! In heart if everything. It may have been to big for just two couples. But I didn't care because it was so cute. Love sitting in the backyard loved watching the birds and morning doves.

We had a great weekend in Hermann and at the Historic District Inn. We had 3 couples and each was able to have there own space/bathroom. The upstairs is not made for taller people. The shower in the bathroom on the left required us to get on our knees to get lower than the shower head. But that just added to the fun of the weekend. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to everyone!

The location is centralized. There were lots of linens and towels. It was big enough for 6 of us to sit in the living room. The bed was very comfortable. It was perfect for a girls’ weekend.

It is verry pretty inside, loved the decorations, it had 2 king beds, a great out door area. We loved it because of the location. Its two houses down from the Tin Mill.

We had a group of family and friends helping to celebrate a milestone birthday. The house was perfect! Enough room for our guests inside and out. The weather was wonderful, so we sat in the backyard and listened to the music from Tin Mill just at the end of the block. Easy walking distance to shops, food and trolley. Talking of coming back and would definitely rent this again!

This is a nice place to stay. It is right there by downtown and provides walking access to many shops, breweries and distilleries.It was clean and comfortable. We only had a couple of hiccups but they were resolved. Be sure to check out the book with instructions for the heat. We were there on a cold weekend and were confused at how to operate the heat as it was marked a/c only. We did have an issue which the owners dealt with and we appreciated that so much!We would stay here again. Only thing-upstairs bathrooms are not conducive for taller people with height of ceiling and showerhead. But-again it did not stop our enjoyment of the location.

The house was good, especially the beds and living room, kitchen, and back yard! It was close to the downtown area so we could walk to most things. Some of the outdoor furniture was broken. And there were lots of bees. The steps to the upstairs were steep especially for older people. The description on the bedroom and bathroom locations were confusing on VRBO (we didn’t realize 2 of the 3 bathrooms were upstairs. Still, we enjoyed our stay!

We love this house! So cute, well kept, and in the perfect location. We can’t wait to stay again!

The house was everything we were looking for in a long weekend trip to Hermann! It was cozy, comfy, very clean, and most importantly, very well located to walk anywhere within the historic district. The kitchen was well stocked for whatever you might need (we didn't cook, but there was plenty of everything) and it was a super easy checkout - just a few items to tidy up. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed 3 nights. This home is amazing. Sat around the firepit each night and cooked on the grill. It is located perfectly in town to everything. Shopped, drank wine at several wineries, went to Bourbon Fest at Copper Mule and hung out at Tin Mill Brewery
