Great spot for a large group near Chautauqua institute
We held a large family reunion in this home and had a wonderful time. It is such a beautiful home, has nice big spaces for our large group, and it was well-stocked with everything we needed. We also found several fun things to do nearby. Would definitely consider coming back!
Wish it were longer, so we could have spent more time on the property itself, and the chataqua region. We mostly boated and waterskied on lake and visited old friends. Wish we had a month. Only a few used the pool, and they loved it.
Our week at the Manor was terrific. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking our family meals. The grounds offered so much space for outdoor fun. The front porch was a favorite of all..and so much room for people to relax and gather. We enjoyed a day at a beach on Lake Erie 15 minutes away. Michelle was very available and helpful.
Our family reunion with 20+ adults and children enjoyed a wonderful time at the Manor. We all loved the house sitting high on a hill overlooking the lake. The expansive grounds, fire pit, and pool are well maintained and perfect for outdoor activities. The furnishings, artwork, and decor is exceptional. Each room has a special atmosphere and aura created by the wall color, fixtures, art, lighting, etc. The rooms look fancy in pictures but each has a homey comfortable feel. It is a very special unique house and we are so fortunate to have gathered there. We are looking forward to staying there again next year. Elaine from Scottsdale, AZ
Amazing property! Great areas for kids to run around and play outside games. Hugh common areas. Many stocked items available. Passed the very clean glove test! The weather was amazing. Looking forward to next year! Thank you Michelle.
The home was beautifully decorated. Very comfortable, with your own privacy as well. Michelle was great. Looking forward to next stay Kay
We visited during Christmas and had a wonderful time. All we wanted was a quiet place to visit, play games, nibble all day, and enjoy each other’s company. And due to the size of the home and all the various rooms, we were able to have a perfect vacation. Plenty of rooms for our dogs, the bedrooms were fun and comfortable, the kitchens were the well stocked and with several sitting rooms, we could set up puzzles, games and still have plenty of room for meals. The ballroom was perfect, the property was really pretty and a beautiful view of the Lake. Our Host was communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend the property and we hope to visit during the Summer to really explore the 26 full acres of property. A wonderful find. Thank you Michelle.
We hosted our wedding at the Manor in September. We stayed for a couple nights, and would have stayed longer if we had time. It’s a fantastic venue for special events or just large gatherings of family and friends. There is more than enough space inside and on the grounds to allow everyone to gather as a group, but the house is also divided in such a way to give everyone their own private space. It is an older venue, so we had some encounters with pests (rodents, bees, etc.) but nothing that interfered with our stay. Michelle was communicative and handled any issues quickly and effectively so that we didn’t have to worry about anything property-related for our wedding weekend. Overall, we were very happy with our booking and would definitely come back in the future.
The Manor was the perfect home for our multi generational family. Aside from the obvious great location in Chautauqua the home itself was lovingly restored by the owner. Beautiful original art and posters were on the walls, carpets, soft sofas and lounge chairs created a warm and very inviting atmosphere. In the library the shelves had books from the previous owners. Their spirit lives on! Each one of our diverse age groups immersed themselves in the story of the manor we would certainly return.
Great big old house beautifully updated in a great location.
What an amazingly large home! It was well equipped, and we had 14 family members staying there and everyone seemed to love it! When we had a small concern it was addressed immediately. Thanks so much for a great vacation!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was beautiful and we had a blast exploring the rooms and outdoor spaces. We had five siblings plus spouses, seven kids ages 5-17, and one grandparent. We took turns preparing meals, taking trips to Bemus Point and Jamestown and even an excursion to a Frank Lloyd Wright home in Buffalo. The porches, grounds and pool were our favorite spaces. We had a perfect week of weather. The lake view was amazing. Having a first floor room and bathroom for our senior family member was especially nice. And having so many rooms and bathrooms for everyone made it not feel like we were overcrowded. There was always something to so even on days when we didn’t drive anywhere. Highly recommend!
Beautiful home, lots of space, perfect for multiple families. So beautiful and so much to do without even leaving the property. Extraordinary decorating !
Beautiful house!….tons of space even for 25 people!….. would definitely stay here again!
Celebrated our parents 65 wedding anniversary. The home was so spacious and beautifully decorated! Gave every family room to spread out. Only issue was the pool being quite cloudy but luckily the weather wasn’t quite pool weather. Would definitely stay again!
We had 2 generations of family share the house for the weekend to celebrate my mother´s 95th birthday. Everyone had a wonderful time. The caterer had no problems working in the kitchen and the seating for Sthe Saturday dinner was excellant.
